The Ailey School di New York. Workshop e audizione a Roma

L’evento prevede due giorni di workshop il 28 e 29 marzo 2028 e una giornata dedicata alle audizioni, il 30 marzo 2024, che darà la possibilità di ottenere l’accesso e/o borse di studio per i corsi intensivi estivi e per 3 diversi programmi di studio della Ailey School di New York.

L’Accademia Iacopini è lieta di presentare il workshop che vedrà protagonisti gli insegnanti della The Ailey School di New York. Un’opportunità unica per studiare con professionisti di fama mondiale che permetterà agli iscritti di accedere, a discrezione del Direttore Mr. Tracy Inman, a borse di studio per poter frequentare dei corsi presso la sede di New York.

L’evento si svolgerà a Roma in tre giornate: 28, 29 e 30 marzo 2024.
Nei primi due giorni si svolgeranno le lezioni con i tre docenti dell’Ailey School: ogni classe avrà la possibilità di frequentare sei lezioni da 90 minuti.
L’ultimo giorno verrà dedicato alle audizioni.

Le lezioni e le audizioni saranno tenute da:

• Mr. Tracy Inman – co-direttore e docente di tecnica Horton, nonché fondatore della Ailey School Horton Pedagogy
• Ms. Michela Boschetto – docente di danza classica e assistente di Mr. Tracy Inman
• Ms. Judine Somerville – docente di musical theater

Possono accedere al workshop e all’audizione tutti i ragazzi a partire dagli 11 anni di età fino ai 25 anni. Gli allievi saranno divisi in due classi per le lezioni: intermedio ed avanzato.
I ballerini over 25 anni possono accedere solo al workshop.

L’audizione darà la possibilità di ottenere l’accesso e/o borse di studio ai seguenti programmi:

⇒ SUMMER INTENSIVE 2024 di 4 settimane Junior Division (12-15 anni) e di 5 settimane Professional Division (16-25 anni) – Ammissione e Borse di Studio.

⇒ Anno Accademico 2024/25 per i seguenti programmi:

• Certificate Program (durata 3 anni) – Ammissione
• Indipendent Program (durata 1 anno) – Ammissione
• Scholarship Program (durata 1 o 2 anni) – Ammissione e Borse di Studio

Il workshop e l’audizione promossi dall’Accademia Iacopini si terranno a Roma presso le sale di Danzarmonia Academy in Via S. Silverio, 39.

The Ailey School di New York

La Ailey School forma ballerini di livello mondiale da quando Alvin Ailey aprì la sua scuola a Brooklyn, NY, nel 1969.  Guidata dalla missione di Ailey, secondo cui la danza è per tutti, la scuola offre programmi per aspiranti ballerini, corsi per la formazione di danzatori professionisti e corsi ricreativi per appassionati di danza di tutti i livelli.
Dal 2004 la Ailey School ha sede presso il Joan Weill Center for Dance nel centro di Manhattan. Grazie all’apertura dell’Ala Didattica Elaine Wynn and Family nel 2017, la struttura della scuola oggi si articola in 28.000 mq e comprende 16 studi di prova, due aule, un teatro da 275 posti, strutture per la fisioterapia, una biblioteca, un negozio di costumi, uffici amministrativi. E’ il più grande edificio dedicato alla danza a New York City.

The Ailey School di New York. Lessons and auditions in Rome

Accademia Iacopini is pleased to present a workshop and audition featuring teachers from The Ailey School di New York. Participants will have the unique opportunity to study with world-renowned professionals and to obtain scholarships, awarded by the Director Mr. Tracy Inman, to attend courses in New York.

The event will take place over three days: 28/29/30 March 2024.
In the first two days, lessons will take place with the three teachers of the Ailey School: each class will have the opportunity to attend six lessons of 90 minutes each.
The last day will be dedicated to auditions.

Lessons and auditions will be held by:

• TRACY INMAN – co-director and teacher of Horton technique and founder of the Ailey School Horton Pedagogy
• MICHELA BOSCHETTO – ballet teacher and Mr. Tracy Inman’s assistant
• JUDINE SOMERVILLE – musical theatre teacher

Dancers from the age of 11 up to the age of 25 will have access to the workshop and the audition. Participants will be divided into two classes to attend lessons: intermediate and advanced.
Dancers over the age of 25 will only have access to the workshop.

The audition will give the opportunity to obtain the admission with or without scholarships for the following programs:

SUMMER INTENSIVE 2024 with a duration of 4 weeks for the Junior Division (12-15 years old) and of 5 weeks for the Professional Division (16-25 years old) – Admission and scholarships

 Academic Year 2024/2025 for the following programs:

• Certificate Program (3 years duration) – Admission
• Indipendent Program (1 year duration) – Admission
• Scholarship Program (1 or 2 years duration) – Admission and scholarships

The workshop and audition sponsored by Accademia Iacopini will be held in the halls of Danzarmonia Academy in Via S. Silverio, 39, 00165 Rome.
