Ogni anno il Tanztage Berlin è il primo festival che dà vita al nuovo anno in città, fondato nel 1996 si è stabilizzato fino a diventare un’importante piattaforma sia nazionale che internazionale per i coreografi emergenti di Berlino. Il Tanztage Berlin avrà luogo ancora una volta al Sophiensæle dal 7 al 17 gennaio 2016.

The festival offers young choreographers based in Berlin a framework to showcase their new productions and existing productions.
Every year the Tanztage Berlin is the very first festival to kick off the new year in the city, but since its founding in 1996 it has also established itself as an important platformboth nationally and internationally for upcoming choreographers in Berlin. The Tanztage Berlin will take place once again in the Sophiensæle from January 7th – 17th 2016. The festival offers young choreographers based in Berlin a framework to showcase their new productions and existing productions.
APPLICATIONS FOR PREMIERES OR EXISTING PRODUCTIONS
1st MODULE: PREMIERES
SPECIAL SERVICE: DRAMATURGICAL SUPPORT
The Tanztage Berlin can only support a limited number of productions presenting their premiere at the festival. For these selected productions there is a grant for production costs available between 1500 € (for solo pieces) and 3000 € (for group pieces) depending on expenditures for personnel and materials. Performers will receive an honorarium of 125 € per person. Travel and lodging expenses will only be reimbursed in exceptional cases.
SPECIAL SERVICE: Four selected productions will receive in-depth dramaturgical support during the development of the piece.
2nd MODULE: EXISTING PRODUCTIONS
In addition, existing productions can be submitted as guest productions. Performers will receive an honorarium of 125 € per person. Travel and lodging expenses will only be reimbursed in exceptional cases.
