Sweetshop Revolution cerca due o tre danzatori contemporanei professionisti ma anche attori che possano integrarsi nel nuovo lavoro a serata intera dal titolo I’m Not Dead, I’m Only Sleeping basato sulla nostra sensazione della morte.

Scadenza per le candidature: 26 agosto 2019.
La compagnia accoglie candidature da danzatori di tutti i generi, tipi fisici, background ed età (siamo interessati sia ad artisti maturi che ad artisti giovani) con forte tecnica e lavoro di contact. Per questa produzione la compagnia è particolarmente interessata ad artisti che sappiano trasparire in scena la loro vulnerabilità ed emozionalità. Sweetshop Revolution sviluppa il lavoro dall’improvvisazione e dalla vita degli artisti stessi, pertanto qualche esperienza nei termini della fine di una relazione o della perdita di qualcuno che amavate sarebbe utile.
Ci sarà qualche piccola parte di nudo nella parte finale dello show.
Svolgimento dell’audizione:
- Giorno 1: ci sarà la classe seguita da un po’ di lavoro di contact.
- Giorno 2: inizierà col contact e seguita da un pomeriggio di improvvisazione.
- Dopo di che circa 10 artisti verranno invitati per un workshop di ricerca (la cui retribuzione è da confermare) il 4, 5 e 6 settembre 2019 nello stesso posto.
Informazioni di produzione:
- Prove: approssimativamente 8 – 9 mesi di contratto: da aprile ad agosto 2020 incluso l’Edinburgh Festival.
- Tournée: da settembre a dicembre / gennaio 2020 (la tournée è prenotata sebbene il finanziamento è da confermare per la fine di gennaio 2020).
Retribuzione per le prove & tour: al di sopra delle Equity rate e ferie pagate.

Audizione Sweetshop Revolution
Sweetshop Revolution are seeking two to three professional contemporary dancers as well as actors who can move for their new, full-length work, I’m Not Dead, I’m Only Sleeping which will be based around our feelings about death.

When: 1st and 2nd September 2019. 10 – 5pm and 10 – 6pm respectively
Deadline for applications: 26th August 2019.
We welcome dancers of all genders, body types, backgrounds and ages (we are interested to hear from much older artists as well as younger) with strong technique and contact work. For this production, we are particularly looking for artists who can let themselves be vulnerable / emotionally open on stage. We develop the work from improvisation and the artists’ own life experience, so therefore some experience, either in terms of the end of a relationship or the loss of someone you loved could be helpful. There may be a small amount of nakedness in the final show.
Day 1 will be class and followed by some contact work. Day 2 will start with contact with an afternoon of improvisation. Following this, around ten artists will be invited to a research workshop (with some payment – tbc) on 4th, 5th, 6th at the same location.
Production Information
Rehearsals: Approx 8 – 9 month contract: April – August 2020 including Edinburgh Festival.
Touring: September – Dec / Jan. (Tour is booked although funding is to be confirmed at end of Jan 2020)
Fee for rehearsals & tour: Above Equity rate and holiday pay.
