Lo studio das weisse haus è una residenza-studio per artisti locali ed internazionali, curatori, teorici e critici. Il programma è stato fondato nel 2013 dal Kunstverein das weisse haus. Lo scopo principale è offrire una piattaforma dove i professionisti nei campi dell’arte possano lavorare assieme. Si cerca di supportare la pratica artistica e di creare un luogo dove i progetti innovativi possano prosperare.
L’obiettivo maggiore di questa residenza è supportare gli artisti internazionali con due mesi a di soggiorno a Vienna, così da poter esternare il progetto di ricerca del residente.
Studio Das Weisse offre:
- sistemazione gratuita (studio con bagno e cucinotto).
- spazio di lavoro gratuito.
- un contributo alle spese di viaggio fino a 200 euro per spostamenti in Europa e fino a 400 euro per viaggi al di fuori dell’Europa.
- un importo mensile di 500 euro per coprire i basilari costi di sostentamento. Gli organizzatori raccomandano ai candidati di cercare ulteriori finanziamenti.
- accesso gratuito all’ Ars Electronica Festival dal 5 al 9 settembre 2019.
- scambi regolari durante la residenza (verranno organizzati in totale 3 meetings).
- la presentazione del progetto proposto in forma di lettura-performance il 9 ottobre 2019, alle or 19:00 come parte delle serie mensili “Wednesday with…”.
- un vario programma con mostre, visite e un’escursione.
- supporto costante da parte dello staff dello studio das weisse haus.

Studio Das Weisse Haus (Austria). Artist in Residence 2019
Studio Das Weisse Haus is a residence and studio program for local and international artists, curators, theorists and critcs. The programme was founded in 2013 by Kunstverein das weisse haus. Their main purpose is to offer a platform where professionals from the art field can work together. They seek to support artistic practice and create a site where innovative projects can prosper.
The main goal of this residency is to support an international artist with a two-month stay in Vienna, in order to carry out his/her ongoing research project.
Studio Das Weisse Haus offers:
- a rent-free accommodation (studio with bathroom and kitchenette).
- a rent-free working space.
- a one-time contribution to travel expenses up to 200 euros for traveling within Europe, and 400 euros for traveling outside of Europe.
- a monthly allowance of 500 euros to cover basic living costs. The organisers recommend to the candidates to look for additional funding.
- free access to the Ars Electronica Festival from September 5 to 9, 2019.
- a peer for regular exchange during the residency (in total three meetings will be organized).
- the presentation of the proposed project in form of a lecture performance on October 09, 2019, 7 pm as part of the monthly series “Wednesday with…”.
- a varied program with exhibition, studio visits and one excursion.
- ongoing support by the staff of studio das weisse haus.
