Si svolge dal 5 al 10 ottobre 2020 a Francoforte Solocoreografico, un festival di danza dedicato alla composizione coreografica in assolo, un progetto di Raffaele Irace realizzato in collaborazione e col supporto del Gallus Theater – Frankfurt.
Condizioni
- Il solo dance festival è aperto ad ogni stile di danza e libera è la scelta del tema e della musica.
- Non c’è limite di età.
- Criteri per la partecipazione: intelligente e creativo uso dello spazio e del tempo, realizzazione di un’idea attraverso la danza di un singolo interprete.
- Durata: la coreografia non può durare più di 8 minuti.
- La coreografia può essere già stata presentata precedentemente in scena.
- Ogni coreografo può partecipare con un solo lavoro.
- Il coreografo può anche essere l’interprete.
- Gli artisti che nelle passate edizioni si sono candidati o hanno partecipato possono candidarsi di nuovo.
- Il festival selezionerà un massimo di 10 coreografie.
- I lavori scelti verranno presentati al Gallus Theater a Francoforte nei giorni 9 e 10 ottobre 2020.
- Le prove in scena si terranno tra l’8 e il 9 ottobre 2020. Ogni coreografia avrà il proprio tempo accordato con l’organizzazione e coi bisogni di entrambi.
- Sarà disponibile un set luci di base. Tuttavia si proverà a soddisfare nel miglior modo possibile delle richieste speciali.
- Il Festival fornirà, per due spettacoli, un cachet di 350 € a ciascun lavoro/coreografo e sistemazione in hotel. Le spese di viaggio non verranno coperte dal festival che tuttavia aiuterà gli artisti per trovare finanziamenti che possano supportare i costi.
- Gli artisti selezionati avranno accesso gratuito ai workshop tra il 5 e il 10 ottobre 2020.
- Il Festival può chiedere ai coreografi/danzatori di offrire delle classi o workshop (pagate extra).

Premi
Tre premi verranno assegnati da una giuria internazionale di professionisti della danza e dal pubblico:
- Miglior Coreografia – Premio Solocoreografico (il premio raddoppia il cachet dell’artista)
- Miglior Danzatore E Performer – Premio Solocoreografico (il premio raddoppierà il cachet dell’artista)
- Premio del Pubblico (il vincitore verrà programmato alla IV. edizione di Solocoreografico Frankfurt 2021)

WHAT IT IS
Solocoreografico is the dance festival dedicated to the choreographic composition for solo dance.
CONDITIONS
- The solo dance festival is open to every style of dance and the choice of the theme and the music is free.
- There is no age limit.
- Criteria to participate: a clever and creative use of space and time, the production of an idea through the dance of a single performer.
- Duration: the choreography will have a duration of no more than 8 minutes.
- The choreography can be a work showed previously on stage.
- Each choreographer can participate with only one choreography.
- The choreographer can also be the solo performer.
- Artists who applied or participated to a past edition of Solocoreografico can apply again.
- The festival will be able to select a maximum of 10 choreographies.
- Selected works will be presented at the Gallus Theater in Frankfurt, on the 9th and 10th of October 2020.
- Stage rehearsals will take place between the 8th and the 9th of October 2020. Each choreography will get its own timeslot according to the time of the arrival in Frankfurt and need of the organization.
- A basic light set up will be available. We will, however, try to match your special requests as far as possible.
- The Festival will provide, for two shows, 350 € cachet for each choreography, and Hotel accommodation for the selected artists. Travel expenses will not be provided by the festival. The festival will however help the artists to apply for grants, that might support the travel costs.
- Selected artists have free access to the dance workshops between the 5th – 10th October 2020.
- The Festival might request to the choreographers/dancers to offer a dance class / workshop, extra paid.

AWARDS
An international Jury of dance professionals and the audience, will assign three awards:
- BEST CHOREOGRAPHY – SOLOCOREOGRAFICO Award (the award will double the artist’s cachet)
- BEST DANCER AND PERFORMER – SOLOCOREOGRAFICO Award (the award will double the artist’s cachet)
- AUDIENCE AWARD (the winner will be programmed for the IV. edition of Solocoreografico Frankfurt 2021)
