La Russell Maliphant Company sta selezionando nuovi artisti di danza e assistenti da integrare al team formativo.

L’audizione si terrà il 13 ottobre 2018 a Londra ma il lavoro sarà in vari luoghi.

La Russell Maliphant Company è stata fondata nel 1996 come struttura per realizzare le produzioni di Maliphant e per lavorare con il suo ensemble. Da quel momento ha ricevuto due Olivier awards, tre premi South Bank Show e tre premi Circle National Dance dalla critica per la migliore coreografia oltre a molti altri premi e nomination nazionali ed internazionali.

Il lavoro di Russell Maliphant è caratterizzato da un approccio personale verso il flusso e l’energia, e da una continua esplorazione della relazione tra movimento, luce e musica. Per 20 anni Maliphant ha lavorato a stretto contatto con il pioniere del light-design Michael Hulls per esplorare e realizzare queste idee. Russell Maliphant e Michael Hulls sono entrambi artisti associati del Sadler’s Wells.

Da aprile 2018 la Russell Maliphant Company è diventata una delle Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations. Ciò ha aperto un nuovo entusiasmante capitolo della storia della compagnia diventando Compagnia in residenza presso il DanceEast, Ipswich.

La Russell Maliphant Company sta formando un team di artisti di danza e assistenti in grado di offrire sessioni di danza di alta qualità come parte del programma della compagnia. Un’attenzione particolare per il 2019 sarà data all’apprendimento e all’attività partecipativa per accompagnare la tournée della nuova produzione Silent Lines (in anteprima nell’aprile 2019) e per stabilirsi nella nuova sede nell’est dell’Inghilterra.

DANZATORI

La Russell Maliphant Company cerca artisti della danza con minimo 5 anni di esperienza come insegnanti/facilitatori, che siano appassionati e capaci di stimolare verso la danza persone di tutte le età e abilità. Dovrete essere un danzatore con forte tecnica  a cui piace facilitare i compiti creativi.

ASSISTENTI
La compagnia cerca anche professionisti della danza con minor esperienza di insegnamento da integrare nel team come assistenti. Se avete recentemente completato un corso di formazione professionale o state cercando di costruire la vostra carriera come ‘facilitatore’ nella danza dovreste essere pronti a sviluppare le vostre capacità come docenti, crescere all’interno della compagnia d essere entusiasti di condividere le opportunità coreutiche con gli altri.

DETTAGLI
Il lavoro di docenza è offerto con contratto da freelance.
Salario: al di sopra degli standards

AUDIZIONE
L’audizione è solo su invito e si terrà a Londra il 13 ottobre 2018 dalle 10:00 alle 17:00. L’audizione si terrà sotto forma di:

• partecipazione ad una classe di livello professionale
• apprendimento di una parte del repertorio della compagnia
• insegnamento di una frase.

L’audizione per danzatori e per gli assistenti si terranno lo stesso giorno.

TRAINING
A tutti i membri del team docente sarà richiesto di partecipare alle seguenti date di training (retribuite):

• Intensivo (inverno): 1 e 2 dicembre 2018
• Giornata introduttiva al Training: 3 dicembre 2018
• ‘Insight’ alle prove: Approssimativamente due giorni in febbraio – primi di aprile 2019 durante le prove per Silent Lines (le date esatte saranno comunicate)
• giorni di training per Silent Lines: dal 9 all’11 aprile 2019

Russell Maliphant Company is recruiting new dance artists and assistants to join the education team.

Where: Audition in London, UK. Work will be in various locations.

Russell Maliphant Company was established in 1996 as the framework for Maliphant to initiate productions and to work with his own ensemble of dancers. Since that time we have received two Olivier awards, three South Bank Show awards and three Critics’ Circle National Dance awards for best modern choreography, amongst many other national and international awards and nominations.

Russell Maliphant’s work is characterised by a unique approach to flow and energy and an ongoing exploration of the relationship between movement, light and music. For 20 years, Maliphant has worked closely with pioneering lighting designer Michael Hulls to explore and realise these ideas. Russell Maliphant and Michael Hulls are both Associate Artists of Sadler’s Wells.

In April 2018, the Russell Maliphant Company became one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations. This brings an exciting new chapter to the company’s history, becoming Company in Residence at DanceEast, Ipswich.

Russell Maliphant Company is now building a team of dance artists and assistants who can deliver high-quality dance sessions as part of the company’s engagement programme. A particular focus for 2019 will be learning and participation activity to accompany the company’s tour of new production Silent Lines (premiering in April 2019) as well as settling into our new home in the East of England.

DANCE ARTISTS
We are looking for dance artists with a minimum of five years teaching/facilitating experience who are passionate about inspiring people of all ages and abilities to dance. You will be a strong technical dancer who also enjoys facilitating creative tasks.

ASSISTANTS
We are also looking for dance professionals with less teaching experience to join our team as assistant dance artists. You may have recently completed professional training or are looking to build your career as a dance facilitator. You should be keen to develop your dance teaching skills, progress within the company, and be excited about sharing dance opportunities with others.

DETAILS
Availability: Teaching work will be offered on a freelance basis.
Salary: Above industry standards
Safeguarding: Due to the nature of work, the posts are offered subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, and successful completion of online safeguarding training.

AUDITION
Audition is by invitation only
Date: Saturday 13 October 2018, 10am – 5pm
Location: London
The audition will take the form of:
-Participating in a professional level class
-Learning a section of company repertoire
-Teaching a centre or travelling phrase
The audition for Dance Artists and Assistants will take place on the same day

TRAINING
All members of the teaching team will be required to attend the following (paid) training dates:
Participation in winter intensive: Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 December 2018
Introductory Training Day: Monday 3 December 2018
Insight into Rehearsals Days: Approx. two days in February – early April 2019 during company rehearsals for Silent Lines, exact dates TBC
Silent Lines Training Days: Tuesday 9 – Thursday 11 April 2019.
