Punchdrunk International cerca danzatori contemporanei per la nuova creazione londinese.
Punchdrunk è un pioniere nel creare un gioco teatrale che cambia forma e in cui il pubblico sperimenta e vive la narrazione all’interno di un mondo sensoriale teatrale. Mischiando testi classici, performance fisica, installazioni e design, oltre a lavori in luoghi inusuali, la compagnia “infetta” e rigetta i formati in cui ci si aspetta l’obbedienza passiva da parte del pubblico.
Lo stile delle loro performance richiede ai danzatori impegno, versatilità e grandissima capacità nell’improvvisazione e nella coreografia. La compagnia lavora abitualmente in spazi molto vasti e in edifici vuoti trasformati dalla performance stessa.
La compagnia cerca performer dinamici, carismatici, con forte capacità nel contact e/o nel partnering e che abbiano interesse verso il lavoro attoriale e narrativo. I danzatori devono avere eccellente tecnica nella danza contemporanea e almeno 1 anno di esperienza professionale.
La compagnia ha particolare interesse nell’incontrare danzatori sia giovani (dai 21 ai 25 anni) che maturi (dai 40 anni i su) con cui si creeranno i ruoli dei personaggi. La conoscenza del lavoro di Felix Barrett, Maxine Doyle e della compagnia è un vantaggio.

L’audizione sarà solo su invito e si terrà a Londra nella settimana che inizia il 16 settembre 2019.

Si prega di indicare con “London Auditions” l’oggetto della mail. I candidati scelti riceveranno l’invito all’audizione entro venerdì 6 settembre 2019.
Il video, in cui idealmente ci dovrebbe essere un solo e un’improvvisazione (tuttavia si può essere evidenziati anche all’interno di un gruppo) non può avere una durata maggiore ai 3 minuti.
Si prega di allegare un video privato (tramite YouTube o Vimeo) e prima di inviarlo assicuratevi che il link sia attivo. Le candidature senza video o con link non attivi non verranno considerate.
Le foto dovrebbero essere un ritratto (frontale ben illuminato) e una foto a figura intera in piedi.

Punchdrunk International is looking for contemporary dancers for a new London creation.

Punchdrunk are pioneers of a game changing form of theatre in which roaming audiences experience epic storytelling inside sensory theatrical worlds. Blending classic texts, physical performance, award-winning design installation and unexpected sites, the company’s infectious format rejects the passive obedience usually expected of audiences.
Their performance style requires committed, versatile dancers with very strong improvisation and choreographic skills. The company’s work is usually presented on an epic scale, staged inside vast, empty buildings transformed into the world of performance.
We are looking for dynamic and charismatic performers with strong contact and/or partnering skills and an interest in acting and narrative. Dancers should have excellent contemporary dance technique and at least 1 year of professional experience.
We are particularly keen to meet a range of dancers both young (21-25) and mature dancers (40+ ) as we will be creating character-based roles. A knowledge of Felix Barrett, Maxine Doyle and Punchdrunk’s work is advantageous.

Please put “London Auditions” in the subject line of the email. Suitable candidates will receive an invitation to audition by Friday, 6th of September by 5pm.
Your video should be of you ideally doing a solo performance (however this can be highlighted within a group work) and improvisation, lasting no longer than 3 minutes in length.
Please attach a private video link (through YouTube or Vimeo) and ensure that the link is working prior to sending. Applications without a video (or with a non-working) link will not be considered.
Photos should be a head-shot (frontal and well-lit) and a full-body picture where you are visible, frontal and standing.
