Punchdrunk International sta cercando danzatori e danzatrici per la loro produzione Sleep No More a Shanghai.
Punchdrunk sono pionieri di un format in cui il pubblico in roaming sperimenta uno storytelling epico all’interno di mondi teatrali sensoriali. Combinando testi classici, performance, installazione di design (pluripremiata) e luoghi inusuali, il format della compagnia rifiuta l’obbedienza passiva che solitamente ci si aspetta dal pubblico.
Il loro stile richiede danzatori impegnati e versatili con grande capacità nell’improvvisazione e nell’ideazione. Il candidato dovrebbe essere un performer dinamico, carismatico, con forti capacità nel contact e nel partnering e interesse per la recitazione e la narrazione. E’ essenziale avere ottima tecnica di danza contemporanea ed esperienza professionale minima di 3 anni. Inoltre, sono particolarmente benvenuti i ballerini che parlano fluentemente il cinese, tuttavia non è indispensabile. Si prega di notare che i candidati selezionati saranno tenuti a superare una valutazione fisica al fine del visto cinese.
E’ richiesta piena disponibilità da agosto 2018 a settembre 2019.
Punchdrunk esorta a partecipare all’audizione aperta di sabato 24 marzo dalle ore 15:00 che si terrà a Bruxelles, in Belgio presso ULTIMA VEZ, Zwarte Vijversstraat 97.
Per pre-registrarsi mandare una email casting@punchdrunk.org.uk entro il 21 marzo 2018. Vi verrà dato un posto per l’audizione man mano che arrivano le candidature seguendo il principio che chi prima arriva meglio alloggia. A causa dell’elevato numero non a tutti i candidati sarà garantita l’audizione. A tutti i partecipanti è richiesto di portare una foto recente delle dimensioni per il passaporto e una copia del proprio curriculum vitae. Il secondo giorno di audizione si terrà il 25 marzo 2018.
Punchdrunk International – Open auditions for male & female dancers
Punchdrunk International is looking for male and female dancers for their current production of Sleep No More in Shanghai.
Punchdrunk are pioneers of a game changing form of theatre in which roaming audiences experience epic storytelling inside sensory theatrical worlds. Blending classic texts, physical performance, award-winning design installation and unexpected sites, the company’s infectious format rejects the passive obedience usually expected of audiences.
Their performance style requires committed, versatile dancers with very strong improvisation and devising skills. They should be a dynamic and charismatic performer with strong contact/partnering skills and an interest in acting and narrative. An excellent contemporary dance technique and a minimum of 3 years professional experience is essential. We are also especially keen to meet with dancers who are fluent in Mandarin, however this is not essential. Please note that successful applicants will be required pass a physical assessment to be eligible for a Chinese visa.
Full availability from August 2018 to September 2019 is required.
Punchdrunk invites you to attend an open audition on Saturday 24th March 2018 from 15:00hrs.
To pre-register please email casting@punchdrunk.org.uk by noon on Wednesday March 21st 2018. You will be allocated an audition slot in advance of your arrival. These will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Subject to numbers not every applicant will be guaranteed an audition. All attendees are required to bring a current passport sized photograph and a copy of their CV including headshots with them. Recall auditions will be held on Sunday 25th March 2018.
