POOL è una piattaforma internazionale per i film di danza (videodanza) e d’animazione. POOL propone uno spazio di scambio e di condivisione d’esperienze.
Danzatori, coreografi, cineasti e artisti sono invitati a candidarsi con i loro cortometraggi di danza e di animazione di danza; i video non devono superare i 30 minuti (no le riprese di spettacoli).
Nel contesto del concorso la giuria presenterà PEARLS 18, un programma composto dai film selezionati alla piattaforma POOL 18.
In parallelo POOL propone una serie di laboratori, di incontri, dibattiti e proiezioni sul tema della videodanza.
Il festival si svolge in settembre 2018 a Berlino, in Germania.
La scadenza per l’invio dei dossier è fissata al 2 luglio 2018

POOL est une plateforme internationale pour le film de danse et d’animation. POOL propose un espace d’échanges et de partage d’expériences.
Danseurs, chorégraphes, cinéastes et artistes sont invités à postuler avec des courts métrages de danse et des animations de danse, ces films ne doivent pas dépasser 30 minutes (pas de captation de spectacle). A l’issue de la compétition, le jury présentera PEARLS 18, un programme composé des films sélectionnés lors de la plateforme POOL 18.
En parallèle, POOL propose une série d’ateliers, de rencontres, débats et projections sur le thème du film de danse.

The 12th edition of POOL will present a selection of fascinating dance film productions from all over the world, which makes the event a meeting place for creative people involved in the fields of dance, film, fashion and advertisement. POOL focuses on the intense interplay between dance and the techniques of film, exploring the possibilites and boundaries of the art form.
All dancers, choreographers, filmmakers and artists are invited to apply with dance short films and dance animations.
Films should not be longer than 30 minutes and also not a pure documentation of a dance piece.
