La Arts Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia e la Pina Bausch Foundation offrono borse di studio per danza e coreografia.

La sponsorizzazione è destinata a:
- borse per residenza temporanea presso istituzioni rinomate all’estero per danza e coreografia
- partecipazione non retribuita in una compagnia o piazzamento con un coreografo in sede o all’estero
- studi tecnici coreutici con personalità di spicco in sede o all’estero.
I beneficiari delle borse di studio ottengono la possibilità di guadagnare nuove esperienze e sono incoraggiati a sviluppare le loro caratteristiche artistiche con nuove forme di espressione. Il Pina Bausch Fellowship non è un ‘project fund’, né è finalizzato a sviluppare nuove pieces.
Per questa proposta è necessario cercare un partner il cui lavoro vi interessa o con cui vi piacerebbe collaborare. I partners cooperanti possono essere compagnia rinomate, coreografi, e anche istituzioni e/o personalità di istituti di formazione. I piani per la borsa di studio devono essere preparati assieme col partner. Sono possibili progetti in cui ci potrebbe essere la collaborazione, in forma di stage, con un coreografo o una residenza in un istituto di formazione di chiara fama come studente in visita. Ogni candidato deve contattare da solo i suoi partner e pianificare il progetto confermando con la “lettera di intento”.
INFORMAZIONI GENERALI
Il Pina Bausch Fellowship non è un progetto di finanziamento e il suo scopo non sviluppare nuove creazioni.
Ogni borsa dura un minimo di tre mesi e un massimo di sei. Include una borsa mensile di 2.500 Euro e una spesa A/R di viaggio. Ogni anno sono date fino a 4 borse su scala internazionale. Non ci sono restrizioni di età ed è rivolto a singoli artisti del campo coreutico (danzatori e coreografi) che possono candidarsi se possiedono i requisiti.
CANDIDATURA
Le candidature per il Pina Bausch Fellowship 2017 sono possibili dal 1 giugno al 15 settembre 2016 e solo compilando il formulario on line disponibile al seguente link: https://fellowship.pinabausch.org/en/application
La procedura per candidarsi richiede:
- lettera di motivazione (max. 1500 caratteri in INGLESE)
- una breve dichiarazione sul piano di residenza ( max. 800 caratteri in INGLESE)
- curriculum vitae in forma tabulare (max. 1500 caratteri in INGLESE)
- informazione sul planning delle date e la durata del soggiorno
- lettera di intento dal partner cooperante (una compagnia, persona rinomata del settore o istituzione del campo coreutico in INGLESE)
- rassegna stampa (opzionale)
- materiale video
Per coreografi – una selezione di performances pubbliche (non oltre 3 video)
Per danzatori – una selezione di performances in produzioni (non oltre due video) e una registrazione di una performance basata su dei tasks dati da voi stessi (un video, lungo non più di 5 minuti).
REQUISITI PERSONALI
Per danzatori – Diploma universitario o accademico in danza e/o due anni di esperienza professionale con una compagnia rinomata
Per coreografi – creazioni indipendenti con almeno una produzione (pubblica performance) negli ultimi tre anni
Si prega di notare che si deve fornire il materiale video on-line. Bisogna specificare link e password (se c’è) in ogni formulario di candidatura. Per ragioni tecniche si raccomanda di non usare YouTube o Dailymotion per gli upload. I video di cui non funzionano i link non verranno presi in considerazione..
SELEZIONE
I borsisti vengono selezionati da una giuria internazionale e saranno annunciati a metà dicembre 2016. La decisione è definitiva e inappellabile.
INIZIO E CONCLUSIONE
I partecipanti selezionati prendono parte a una settimana introduttiva a Wuppertal dal 10 al 15 gennaio 2017. A seguito della fine dell’anno come borsisti essi illustrano i loro risultati in una lettura a Wuppertal a gennaio 2018.

Pina Bausch Fellowship for Dance and Choreography
The Arts Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia and Pina Bausch Foundation award a grant for dance and choreography.

THE SPONSORSHIP IS MEANT FOR
- grants for a temporary residence at renowned institutions for dance and choreography abroad
- a non-paid participation in an ensemble or a placement with a choreographer at home or abroad
- the studies of dance techniques with renowned personalities at home or abroad
The scholarship holders are getting the chance to gain new experiences and are encouraged to develop their own artistic characteristics with new forms of expression. The Pina Bausch Fellowship is not a project fund, nor is it aimed at the development of new pieces.
For that purpose you need to look for a partner in whose work you are interested in or with whom you would like to cooperate. Cooperating partners can be renowned ensembles, choreographers, and also institutions and personalities from dance- or choreographic training institutions. The plans for the fellowship are to be prearranged together with this partner. Possible projects could be collaboration in form of an externship with a choreographer or a stay at a renowned training institution as a visiting student. Each applicant has to contact their cooperating partner themselves and have the planned project confirmed in a “letter of intent”.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Pina Bausch Fellowship is not a project fund, nor is it aimed at the development of new pieces.
Each fellowship can take a minimum of three months and no longer than six months. It includes a monthly allowance of 2.500 Euros and one-time travel expenses. Up to four fellowships are granted each year.
The Fellowship is promoted internationally. It has no age-restirctions and aims at single artists from the fields of dance and choreography (dancers and choreographers). They can apply if they meet requirements.
APPLICATION
An application for the Pina Bausch Fellowship 2017 is possible from June 1st to September 15th, 2016, and only here: https://fellowship.pinabausch.org/en/application
The application procedure requires:
- letter of motivation (max. 1500 characters with blanks in ENGLISH)
- a brief statement on your planned stay ( max. 800 characters with blanks in ENGLISH)
- CV in tabular form (max. 1500 characters with blanks in ENGLISH)
- information on the planned date and duration of the stay
- letter of intent from the cooperating partner (e.g. an ensemble, a renowned person or institution from the field of dance or choreography, in ENGLISH)
- press cuttings (optional)
- video material
For choreographers – a selection of public performances (no more than three videos)
For dancers – a selection of performances in artistic productions (no more than two videos) and a recording of an artistic performance based on a task that they set for themselves (one video, no longer than ‑five minutes)
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
For dancers – university/academic degree in dance and/or two years professional experience with a renowned ensemble
For choreographers – independent creation of at least one production with a public performance in the last three years
Please note that you need to provide the video-material online, e.g. by secure file upload to a video portal. You can specify the links and passwords (if any) in the application form. For technical reasons we do not recommend to use YouTube or Dailymotion for your upload. Videos, whose links are not functional, can unfortunately not be considered.
SELECTION
The grant holders are selected by an international panel and will be announced in mid-December 2016. The panel’s decision is final and incontestable.
KICK-OFF AND CONCLUSION
The selected participants take part in an introductory week in Wuppertal from January 10th to 15th, 2017. Following the end of the fellowship year, they introduce their results with a lecture in Wuppertal in January 2018.
