PACT Zollverein, con sede a Essen, in Germania, lancia 1/2/8 Il sistema è incerto, un nuovo format di residenze a lungo termine per ricerca e sviluppo con uno speciale focus sulla connessione tra conoscenza e azioni. Il format offre tempo e spazio sostanziali per pratiche di cooperazione tra gente, oggetti, spazi, tecnologia e sperimentazione.

Per dare uno sguardo approfondito a queste domande, gli organizzatori stanno invitando artisti, scienziati, giornalisti ed esperti di altri svariati campi del sapere, per lavorare nei loro studi a maggio 2017 e poter entrare in dialogo e sperimentazione l’un l’altro durante i convegni, i laboratori, le conferenze, i workshop, gli incontri pubblici e le presentazioni.

Supportato da borse di ricerca temporanee, coloro che vi prendono parte contribuiscono attivamente alla forma e alla sostanza di aree chiave dell’attività del Pact come piattaforma di ricerca, centro di artisti e luogo di performance. Le idee e le questioni sollevate durante i soggiorni di ricerca saranno discusse nell’ambito degli eventi pubblici e degli spettacoli.

Costi coperti:

• Sala prove (da 69 a 173 mq)
• Alloggio (max. 6 persone)
• Diaria settimanale di 500 € per tutti i partecipanti alla residenza (max. 6 persone)
• spese di viaggio: viene rimborsato un viaggio a partecipante da e per il PACT Zollverein (previo accordo)
• dotazione tecnica (da concordare e soggetta a disponibilità)
• Possibili letture, workshop, mostre, performances (soggetto ad accordo)

Pact Zollverein (Germany) > The system is uncertain > research residencies

PACT is launching 1/2/8 a new, central and long-term research and development format with a special focus on the connection between knowledge and actions. The format offers substantial time and space for practices of cooperation between people, objects, space, technology and experimentation.

To take an in-depth look at these questions, the organisers are inviting artists, scientists, journalists and experts from other varied fields of knowledge, to work in their studios in May 2017 and enter into dialogue and experiments with one another during symposia, idea labs, talks, lectures, workshops and public gatherings and presentations.

Supported by temporary research fellowships, those taking part will actively contribute to the shape and substance of PACT’s key areas of activity as a research platform, artists’ centre and performance venue. Ideas and issues raised during research stays will be debated within the framework of public events and performances.

Costs covered:

• Studio space (from 69 to 173 sq. m.)
• Local accommodation (max. 6 people)
• Weekly grant allowance of 500 € for all of the residency project participants (max. 6 people)
• Travel costs covering one journey only per participant to and from PACT Zollverein (subject to prior agreement)
• Technical equipment (by arrangement and subject to availability)
• Possible lectures, workshops, exhibitions or performances (at short notice and subject to agreement)
