New Adventures attualmente accetta candidature di danzatori, uomini e donne, tramite curriculum vitae per la sua audizione che si svolgerà il 2 e 3 aprile 2016.
I requisiti richiesti da New Adventures ai candidati sono un minimo di 3 anni di formazione di danza in Scuole riconosciute di contemporaneo, classico o musical theatre. Individualità e amore per lo spettacolo sono essenziali.
Per candidarsi inviare entro venerdì 11 marzo 2016 copia cartacea del proprio curriculum vitae con una foto ritratto e una lettera di accompagnamento all’indirizzo riportato più avanti.
Le audizioni si svolgeranno al centro di Londra e sono solo su invito. I danzatori invitati saranno informati entro il 18 marzo 2016. Dato l’alto numero di candidature che la compagnia riceve, se non avrete risposta entro il 18 marzo 2016 significa che la compagnia non può visionarvi quest’anno.
Tutte le candidature devono includere una lettera di accompagnamento nella quale spiegate il perché vi piacerebbe lavorare con New Adventures. Anche le candidature inviate dalle agenzie devono includere le lettere di accompagnamento dei danzatori.
Le lettere di accompagnamento, curriculum vitae e foto devono essere inviate in una busta in formato A4. Nella busta non devono essere presenti graffette metalliche. I materiali inviati non saranno restituiti. Inviare le candidature al seguente indirizzo postale:

Di seguito un estratto di un’intervista nella quale Matthew Bourne descrive il tipo di danzatore che cerca nelle audizioni New Adventures: “Quello che cerco è la passione per il movimento, poiché spesso sono alla ricerca di performers che talvolta necessitano di recitare così come danzare. E credo che la passione a “voler dare” al pubblico – a voler mostrare ciò che si sta cercando di dire – sia il primo trampolino di lancio per fare teatro. Cerco inoltre quelle persone che hanno un’attitudine individuale verso ciò che fanno. E questo perché se si raccontano storie in scena è necessario guardare al mondo reale. Soprattutto se si desidera che il proprio lavoro entri in connessione con il grande pubblico; loro hanno bisogno di essere messi in relazione con le persone che vedono sul palco. Pertanto cerco di ottenere la maggior varietà possibile di taglie, forme, aspetti e background”.

New Adventures are currently accepting CV’s for our auditions on the weekend of 2/3 April 2016. New Adventures auditionees require at least 3 years’ dance training at a recognised Dance College (Contemporary, Classical or Musical Theatre). Individuality and a love of performance are essential.
Please send a hard copy of your CV along with a portrait photograph and a covering letter to the address below by Friday 11 March 2016. Auditions will be held at a Central London location and are by invitation only. Dancers invited to audition will be informed by Friday 18 March. Due to the high-volume of applications we receive if you have not heard from us by 18 March you should assume we are unable to see you this year.
All applications must include a covering letter detailing why you would like to work for New Adventures. Batch applications from agents must include these letters from dancers.

Below is an excerpt from an interview where Matthew Bourne describes the kind of dancers that he is looking for in New Adventures Auditions. “What I look for is a passion for movement, because often I’m looking for performers who will eventually need to act as well as dance. And I believe that the passion of wanting to give to an audience—to connect, to show them what you’re trying to say—is the first steppingstone toward acting. Also, I look for people who have an individual attitude toward what they do. And that’s because if you’re telling stories onstage, it needs to look like the real world. Particularly if you want your work to connect with a large audience; they need to be able to relate to the people they see on stage. So I try to get as big a range as possible of shapes, sizes, looks and background.”
