Come parte del programma di residenza, il Centro Coreografico K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg al Kampnagel fornisce 8 mesi di residenza a 3 coreografi che siano attualmente a inizio carriera ma che abbiano all’attivo alcuni progetti coreografici realizzati. La residenza comincia all’incirca attorno a inizio o metà agosto e continua fino alla fine di marzo o inizi aprile dell’anno successivo.
Il programma di residenza è speciale a causa della durata di otto mesi ed è strettamente legato agli altri corsi e ai programmi di formazione professionale offerti da K3. La residenza include il supporto drammaturgico, tecnico e di produzione. Inoltre collega i progetti proposti dai coreografi in residenza in stretta relazione coi vari altri programmi in corso al K3.
L’obiettivo della residenza è sviluppare e rafforzare le connessioni tra la pratica coreografica, la ricerca, la produzione artistica e la qualificazione. La durata di otto mesi dovrebbe fornire tempo e spazio sufficienti per superare i ritmi convenzionali della produzione e aprire lo spazio per lo scambio con altri artisti e le parti interessate così da ricevere nuovi impulsi e contatti. Nel corso della residenza i tre coreografi svilupperanno ciascuno un pezzo a serata intera che verrà presentato verso la fine della residenza in tre serate.
Requisiti per la candidatura:
- Il candidato deve essere all’inizio della sua carriera ma deve avere già realizzato alcuni suoi progetti.
- Il candidato è disponibile per l’intero periodo della residenza da inizio/metà agosto 2018 fino alla fine di marzo/inizi aprile 2019 ad Amburgo.
- Il candidato ha la volontà di partecipare al programma del K3 e agli altri eventi al suo interno.
- Il candidato è interessato ad impegnarsi sia nello scambio con altri artisti che con il pubblico interessato.
- Il candidato ha già esperienza nell’occuparsi di coreografia a livello discorsivo, riflettendo sul proprio lavoro così come organizzatore di se stesso.
- E’ accettata una sola candidatura a persona. Le candidature da parte di compagnie o gruppi non verranno considerate.
- Si accettano candidature in tutti i campi coreografici (anche la danza per un pubblico giovane ad esempio). Non c’è esclusione o pre-impostazione.
Il programma di residenza copre:
- una borsa mensile
- un budget produttivo per le performance alla fine della residenza
- uso delle sale prova del K3
- un mentore del team del K3 che fa da supporto ed accompagnamento nei campi della drammaturgia, organizzazione, assistenza tecnica e pubbliche relazioni
- partecipazione attiva al ricco programma del K3
- partecipazione al programma sulle capacità pratiche produttive
- a scelta: partecipazione al training professionale regolare e ad altri workshop offerti dal K3
- a scelta: partecipazione al “MA-Performance Studies”, programma dell’Università di Amburgo.

Il periodo per candidarsi alle residenze 2018-2019 ha inizio il 15 giugno 2017. La scadenza è il 14 agosto (23:59).
La candidatura può essere fatta solo in inglese attraverso il formulario online form: http://k3-hamburg.de/k3/residenzausschreibung/ che sarà attivo durante il periodo indicato e che contiene le domande sul background artistico, le motivazioni e i dettagli del progetto proposto per la residenza.
Il formulario può essere compilato anche senza connessione, salvato e editato durante il periodo aperto per la candidatura (dal 15 giugno alle ore 23:59 del 14 agosto 2017). Tutte le candidature che non saranno state inviate entro i limiti verranno cancellate poiché non è possibile avere estensioni della data di scadenza.

As part of its residency programme, the choreographic centre K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg at Kampnagel provides three eight-month residencies per season to choreographers, who are currently at the beginning of their career, but have already produced some choreographic work of their own. The residency begins around the beginning or middle of August and runs until end of March / beginning of April of the following year.
The residency programme is one-of-a-kind because of its length of eight months and is closely linked to the other courses and professional training programs offered by K3. The residency includes mentoring and dramaturgical, technical, and production related support. It moreover links the projects proposed by the choreographers in residence closely to the various other on going programs of K3.
The goal of the residency is to develop and strengthen the connections between choreographic practice, research, artistic production, and qualification. The length of eight months should provide sufficient time and space for overcoming conventional rhythms of production and open up space for exchange with other artists and interested parties in order to receive new impulses and contacts. Over the course of the residency the three choreographers will each develop a full-length piece that is presented towards the end of the residency on three evenings.
Application Requirements:
- The applicant must be at the beginning of his/her career, but should also have already implemented some projects of his/her own.
- The applicant is available for the entire duration of the residency from beginning/middle of August 2018 until end of March/ beginning of April 2019 in Hamburg.
- The applicant is willing to participate in K3’s outreach programme and other events at K3.
- The applicant is interested both in engaging in exchange with other artists, as well as with an interested audience.
- The applicant already has some experience in / is interested in dealing with choreography on a discursive level, reflecting her/his own work, as well as working in a self-organised manner.
- Only applications by individuals can be accepted. Applications by teams or ensembles cannot be taken into consideration.
- We accept applications in all choreographic fields (also dance for young audience for example). There is no pre-setting or exclusion.
The residency programme covers:
- a monthly scholarship
- a production budget for the performances at the end of the residency
- use of the K3 studios
- an accompanying mentor support from the K3 team in the fields of dramaturgy, organisation, technical assistance, and public relations
- active participation in the K3 outreach programme
- participation in program on practical production skills
- optional: participation in regular professional training and other workshops offered at K3
- optional: participation in the MA-Performance Studies programme at the University of Hamburg

Applications must be made online via the application form, which will be activated during the application period and which contains e.g. questions concerning artistic background, motivation and details on the artistic project being proposed for the residency.
