Nel 2007 il K3 ha iniziato a dar vita al suo principale programma di residenza che ogni anno offre a tre coreografi la possibilità di lavorare sul posto per otto mesi. Questo programma, unico a livello internazionale, è destinato agli artisti attualmente all’inizio della loro carriera professionale che hanno prodotto alcuni lavori coreografici. La residenza inizia a metà agosto e dura fino a metà aprile dell’anno successivo.
L’obiettivo della residenza è quello di sviluppare e rafforzare le connessioni tra la pratica coreografica, la ricerca, la produzione artistica e la qualificazione. Nel corso della residenza, i tre coreografi svilupperanno ciascuno un pezzo a serata intera che verrà presentato verso la fine della residenza, nell’ambito del TanzHochDrei in tre sere.
I coreografi in residenza riceveranno: stipendio mensile, budget di produzione, tutoraggio, supporto drammaturgico e l’opportunità di acquisire competenze e qualifiche aggiuntive.
Il programma di residenza è strettamente legato ai corsi e ai programmi di formazione professionale offerti dal K3. La residenza include il mentoring e il supporto drammaturgico, tecnico e di produzione. Inoltre collega strettamente i progetti proposti dai coreografi in residenza ai vari programmi dei corsi del K3.
Il bando per le domande per la residenza K3 viene indetto ogni anno all’inizio dell’estate per la residenza che parte l’anno successivo. La candidatura è possibile solo attraverso il modulo online sulla home page del K3, che verrà attivato durante il periodo di candidatura e che contiene per es. domande su background artistico, motivazione e dettagli sul progetto artistico proposto per la residenza.
Nella stagione 2019/2020 Luísa Saraiva, Raymond Liew Jin Pin e Reut Maria Zimpel sono i 3 coreografi in residenza scelti dal K3. Il 21 novembre, come parte del Probebühne Eins, essi daranno un primo assaggio del loro processo di lavoro. La produzione finale verrà presentata come parte del TanzHochDrei a marzo 2020.
La candidatura è possibile solo in lingua inglese.
Il formulario può essere compilato e salvato online tra il 13 giugno e le ore 23:59 del 12 agosto 2019 (orario Europa centrale). Tutte le candidature che non ci saranno state mandate entro il termine indicato verranno eliminate. Non è possibile candidarsi in altro modo o successivamente alla scadenza.
Siete liberi di rielaborare in qualsiasi momento la vostra candidatura durante il periodo in cui il bando è aperto. Non dimenticate tutti i cambiamenti effettuati. A vostro beneficio consigliamo di fare un backup nel vostro computer!
Quando avrete completato il formulario e controllato che tutte le informazioni fornite siano corrette e complete mandate la vostra candidatura tramite il tasto “send” nell’ultima pagina del form.
Dopo che lo avrete inviato riceverete una email di conferma ricezione.
K3 chiede cortesemente di fornire link che coprano l’intera performance e NON trailer. Deve trattarsi della vostra coreografia in palcoscenico (in teatro o spazio pubblico) e non lavori video. Se possibile si prega di utilizzare Vimeo. Altri siti potrebbero causare problemi di copyright ed essere bloccati in Germania. Se per ragioni tecniche non potete fornire dei link video contattate K3.

K3 Residency. Open call
In 2007, K3 began its main residency programme, which each year provides three choreographers with a chance to work on site for eight months. This internationally unique programme is intended for artists currently at the beginning of their professional careers, who have produced some choreographic work of their own. The residency begins middle of August and runs until middle of April of the following year.
The goal of the residency is to develop and strengthen the connections between choreographic practice, research, artistic production, and qualification. Over the course of the residency the three choreographers will each develop a full-length piece that is presented towards the end of the residency, in the frame of TanzHochDrei on three evenings. Choreographers-in-residence receive a monthly grant, a production budget, mentoring, dramaturgical support, and opportunities to acquire additional skills and qualifications.
The residency programme is closely linked to the courses and professional training programs offered by K3. The residency includes mentoring and dramaturgical, technical, and production related support. It moreover links the projects proposed by the choreographers in residence closely to the various on going programs of K3.
The call for applications for the K3 Residency takes place annually in early summer for the residency starting in the following year. The application is only possible through the online form on the K3 homepage, which will be activated during the application period and which contains e.g. questions concerning artistic background, motivation, and details on the artistic project being proposed for the residency. In the season 2019/2020 Luísa Saraiva, Raymond Liew Jin Pin and Reut Maria Zimpel are K3 choreographers in residence. On the 21st of November as part of the Probebühne Eins, they will give a first insight into their work processes. The final productions will be presented as part of TanzHochDrei in March 2020.

This online application form can be filled in, edited and saved between June 13 2019 and August 12 2019 11:59 pm (central European time). All applications, which have not been sent to us by that time, will be deleted. It is not possible to apply in any other way or to extend the deadline.

We kindly ask you to provide links to full length coverage of performances, not trailers. It should be your own choreographies of stage works (in theatre of public), no video works. Please use vimeo.com if possible. Other video sites can cause copyright issues and the link might be blocked for use in Germany. If for technical reasons you are not able to provide video links, please contact us.
