La prima edizione dell’Istanbul Fringe Festival si è tenuta a settembre 2019. E’ ora on line il bando pubblico per la sua seconda edizione che si terrà a Istanbul, in Turchia dal 21 al 27 settembre 2020.
Per questa seconda edizione l’Istanbul Fringe Festival cerca lavori sperimentali e contemporanei che includono la danza, la performance, il teatro, opere in site-specific e workshop. Gli artisti di tutto il mondo sono incoraggiati a candidarsi.
Quest’anno il festival si offre come piattaforma sia per artisti locali che internazionali per mostrare i propri lavori in molte location sia indoor che outdoor oltre a situazioni in site-specific ma anche chiese e hammam, mercati e vecchie strutture site nelle zone asiatiche e/o europee della città. Per gli artisti si tratta di un grande opportunità, potendo incontrare, interagire e scambiare idee col pubblico del posto e trovare dei nuovi network artistici.
Cosa viene offerto:
L’alloggio durante il festival è fornito da volontari che mettono a disposizione le loro case
– i pasti nel giorno dello spettacolo
– trasporto pubblico nel giorno della performance
– spazio, supporto tecnico e promozione
– 50% del box-office
– accesso gratuito a tutti gli eventi del festival (richiede la prenotazione)
In questa edizione non c’è possibilità di copertura delle spese di viaggio da e per Istanbul ma l’organizzazione può aiutare a contattare le ambasciate dei paesi di provenienza a Istambul.

Istanbul Fringe Festival 2020
Istanbul Fringe Festival had a remarkable 1st edition in September 2019. We are now very excited to launch our artist open call for the 2nd edition: Istanbul Fringe Festival is looking for contemporary and experimental works
including dance, performance, theater as well as site-specific works and workshops. Artists from all over the world
are welcome to apply.

When: 21-27 September 2020
Istanbul, a fascinating and historical city built on two continents, is hosting the 2nd fringe festival.
The festival will bring together artworks and workshops produced in the disciplines of dance, performance and theater during a week in September 2020. This year festival offers both local and international artists a platform to showcase their work in several indoor&outdoor venues as well as specific sites such as hammams, churches, market places, old factories located on European and Asian side of the city. This is a great opportunity for artists to meet and interact between themselves and the audience, exchange ideas while discovering a new artistic network.
What we offer:
Accommodation in volunteer houses during the festival

– Venue, technical support and promotion
– 50% of the box-office
– Free access to all the events in the festival (requires reservation)
We can’t offer you a round trip ticket between your hometown and Istanbul in our first edition, but we would be happy to help you contact the embassy of your country in Istanbul.
