L’International-Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival darà una visione complessiva degli ultimi trends per ciò che concerne gli assoli nella scena contemporanea. Ai coreografi e danzatori di tutto il mondo partecipanti al concorso world è chiesto un assolo nuovo, originale, fantasioso, unico e che abbia soluzioni inusuali. La giuria giudicherà sia la qualità coreografica che quella di danza, così come la musicalità, l’interpretazione e la performance.
A marzo 2016 l’International-Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival ha celebrato il suo 20° anniversario. Con la direzione artistica di Marcelo Santos il concorso si è conquistato un posto di rilievo e la stabilità nella scena contemporanea negli ultimi venti anni. L’ampio numero di candidature da tutto il mondo e l’incredibile risposta da parte della stampa e del pubblico quanto l’internazionalità dei partecipanti e della giuria dimostrano il prestigio del festival.
Condizioni per partecipare
1. I coreografi possono partecipare al concorso con un assolo inedito o che non sia stato presentato prima di marzo 2017. La durata del pezzo deve essere tra i 9 e i 12 minuti. Le coreografie dovrebbero essere sviluppate lungo una genuina linea di un movimento/linguaggio contemporaneo. Ai candidati libera scelta per soggetto e musica. Il pezzo può essere interpretato dal coreografo stesso. Il danzatore deve avere al massimo 30 anni.
2. la candidatura deve essere compilata online entro le ore 12:00 dell’11 novembre 2016 e sarà completa soltanto mandando il link al lavoro coreografico (vanno bene anche le prove) che candidato per il festival. Soltanto le candidature complete e inviate entro al data di scadenza saranno considerate.
3. Non c’è tassa di iscrizione. L’ammissione al concorso è soggetta al consenso degli organizzatori. I candidati scelti riceveranno l’ invito al più tardi entro il 16 dicembre 2016. Essi dovranno dare la conferma della partecipazione entro il 5 gennaio 2017. In caso di non accettazione nei tempi stabiliti l’invito decadrà.
4. I partecipanti alla competizione sono obbligati ad essere disponibili per i 4 giorni di festival. Essi concordano la disponibilità per le prove, le interviste, le riprese e le riprese televisive oltre alle foto.

6. Il primo round decisionale del concorso si terrà tra giovedì e sabato sera di fronte al pubblico e alla giuria internazionale. La finale sarà domenica sera. La decisione della giuria relativa alle nomine dei premiati sarà annunciata sabato sera. I finalisti presenteranno ancora il loro pezzo domenica. Tutti i partecipanti resteranno fino alla fine del festival.
7. La decisione della giuria è finale. Se il concorrente è un allievo o un membro della compagnia di uno dei giurati quel particolare giurato si asterrà dal votare.
8. I premi hanno un ammontare totale di € 16.000. Prima che i vincitori siano pagati l’organizzazione è obbligata a trattenere le tasse dal premio.

Palcoscenico: larghezza del palco, con tappeto da danza nero, 10 m x 8,50 m; quinte nere; fondale nero su muro grigio
Luci: luci frontali, luci di controluce calde e fredde; luci laterali calde e fredde, 1 speciale
Musica: CD, USB
Per le scene esse sono possibili solo se facilmente trasportabili per montaggio e smontaggio poiché non sono ammessi ritardi nel programma. Un tempo massimo di 75 minuti è a disposizione per ogni concorrente per preparare la scena, fare il piano luci e fare la prova il giorno stesso della performance.
10. I partecipanti saranno sistemati in stanza doppia che verrà condivisa con un altro partecipante. L’organizzazione si occupa dei costi dell’hotel (inclusa la colazione) e paga anche un sussidio per le spese di viaggio.
11. Il vincitore accetta di fare la performance nell’ambito del “Gala of Winners”. La tournée si terrà in Germania dal 17 al 27 novembre 2017. Un cachet forfettario, più spese di viaggio, vitto e alloggio saranno pagati.

Competition for contemporary choreographers and young dancers. 21st International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival Stuttgart
The festival will provide an overall view of the latest trends in the solo-dance-theatre scene. As participants in the competition, choreographers and dancers from around the world, are requested to perform a solo piece which is new, original, imaginative, unique and which displays unusual achievement. The respected jury will judge choreographic and dance skills as well as musicality, interpretation and performance.
In March 2016 the International-Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival was celebrating its 20th anniversary. Under the artistic direction of Marcelo Santos the competition has been firmly established in the international and contemporary dance scene for the last twenty years.
The large number of applications from all over the world, the tremendous response from the press and spectators as well as the internationality of the participants and jury members show the prestige of the festival.
Conditions of entry
1. Choreographers may participate in the competition with a solo piece that is presented either as a premiere or hasn’t been performed on stage for the first time before March 2017. The duration of the performance has to be between 9 and 12 minutes. The choreographies should be developed along the lines of a contemporary and genuine movement-language. The applicant is free in choice of subject and music. The piece may be interpreted by the choreographer him/herself. The dancer must be 30 or younger.
2. The application must be filed online until 11th November 2016, 12.00 pm (noon) CET and is only complete with sending an online link to the choreographic work (also rehearsal) which shall be presented at the festival. Only complete applications which are handed in within the deadline are considered.
3. There is no entrance fee. A curatorship will select the choreographers and dancers to participate in the competition. Admission to the competition is subject to the organizers’ consent. The successful choreographers and dancers will receive an invitation by 16th December 2016 at the latest. The competitors must confirm acceptance by 5th January 2017. If the competitors do not accept in time, the invitation will become invalid.
4. Competitors are obliged to be available for performances on the four festival days. They agree to be available for rehearsals, interviews, movie and television recordings and photos free of charge.
5. The event will be broadcast live on the following website: www.treffpunkt-rotebuehlplatz.de
6. The first round decisions of the competition will take place between Thursday and Saturday evening in front of an audience and international jury. The final will be held on Sunday evening. The decision of the jury concerning the nomination for the final will be announced on Saturday evening. The finalists will again present their solo piece on Sunday. All participants will stay until the end of the festival.
7. The decision of the jury is final. If a competitor is a student or company member of one of the jurors, the particular juror will withhold his vote
8. Prizes to a total value of € 16.000 will be awarded. Before the award winners are paid, the organizer is obliged to deduct tax from the prize money.

9. Technical data
Stage: Size of the stage (dance floor) 10 m x 8,50 m; black dance floor; black curtain with wings: backdrop black or grey stonewall
Light: Front light, backlight warm and cold; wings warm and cold, 1 special
Sound (music): CD, USB
For the stage design only easily transportable equipments whose construction and dismantling don’t delay the program are admitted. A maximum of 75 minutes is available to all competitors preparing the stage, setting the lights and rehearsing on the day of the performance.
10. The participants will be accommodated in a double bed room which will be shared with an other participant. The organizer takes over the hotel costs (incl. breakfast) and pays a subsidy towards the travel expenses.
11. The award winners agree to give performances in the context of “Gala of Winners”. The tour will take place in Germany from 17th until 27th November 2017. A global fee, travel expenses, overnight costs and catering will be paid.

Wettbewerb für zeitgenössische Nachwuchschoreograf/innen und junge Tänzer/innen. 21. Internationale Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival Stuttgart
Das Internationale Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival gibt einen aktuellen Überblick über die neuesten Entwicklungen der jungen Solo-Tanz-Theater-Szene. Choreograf/innen und Tänzer/innen aus aller Welt präsentieren ein Solostück, das eine neue, originelle, fantasievolle und ungewöhnliche Leistung mit eigenem Stil bietet. Beurteilt und prämiert werden sowohl Choreografie als auch Dramaturgie, Tanz, Musikalität und die Präsentation insgesamt.
Im März 2016 feierte das Internationale Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Marcelo Santos sein 20-jähriges Jubiläum. In diesen 20 Jahren ist der Wettbewerb zu einem unübersehbaren Faktor in der internationalen Tanzszene geworden. Zahlreiche Bewerbungen aus aller Welt, die große Resonanz seitens des Publikums und der Presse sowie die Internationalität der Teilnehmenden und der renommierten Jury belegen den hohen Stellenwert.
Teilnahmebedingungen
1. Nachwuchschoreograf/innen können sich mit einem zeitgenössischen Solostück bewerben, das uraufgeführt wird oder zum Zeitpunkt der Aufführung beim Festival im März nicht älter als ein Jahr ist. Die Aufführungsdauer muss zwischen 9 und 12 Minuten liegen. Die Choreografien sollen auf der Basis einer zeitgenössischen und vor allem eigenen Bewegungssprache entwickelt sein. Die Wahl der Themen und der Musik ist freigestellt. Das Stück kann vom Choreografen oder der Choreografin selbst interpretiert werden. Die Altersgrenze für den/die Tänzer/in liegt bei 30 Jahren.
2. Die Online-Anmeldung muss bis zum 11. November 2016, 24.00 Uhr (MEZ) registriert sein. Die Choreografie (auch Arbeitsprobe), die beim Festival präsentiert werden soll, wird als Online-Link (youTube, Vimeo) eingereicht. Es werden nur vollständige und fristgerecht eingereichte Bewerbungen berücksichtigt.
3. Die Teilnahme am Wettbewerb ist kostenlos. Ein Kuratorium entscheidet über die Zulassung zum Wettbewerb. Der Veranstalter behält sich die Zulassung zum Wettbewerb vor. Die Teilnehmenden erhalten bis spätestens 16. Dezember 2016 eine Einladung zum Wettbewerb, die bis zum 5. Januar 2017 verbindlich bestätigt werden muss.
4. Die Teilnehmenden verpflichten sich, an allen vier Veranstaltungstagen für Auftritte frei zu sein sowie für Interviews, Film- und Fernsehmitschnitte und Fotoaufnahmen u.ä. honorarfrei zur Verfügung zu stehen.
5. Die Veranstaltung wird unter www.treffpunkt-rotebuehlplatz.de übertragen.
6. Die Vorentscheidungen des Wettbewerbs werden von Donnerstagabend bis Samstagabend öffentlich vor einer international besetzten Jury durchgeführt. Das Finale findet am Sonntagabend statt. Am Samstagabend gibt die Jury bekannt, welche Teilnehmenden für das Finale nominiert sind. Die Finalisten werden ihr Solostück am Sonntag ein weiteres Mal präsentieren. Alle Teilnehmenden verpflichten sich bis zum Ende des Festivals anwesend zu sein.
7. Die Entscheidung der Jury ist verbindlich. Ist ein/e Teilnehmende/r Studierende/r oder Ensemble-Mitglied eines Juroren oder einer Jurorin, wird sich dieser bei der Entscheidung der Stimme enthalten.
8. Es werden Geldpreise von insgesamt € 16.000 vergeben. Das Preisgeld unterliegt der Steuer, die vom Veranstalter einbehalten wird.

Für das Bühnenbild sind nur leicht transportierbare Requisiten zugelassen, deren Auf- und Abbau den Programmablauf nicht verzögern.
Am Tag der Aufführung stehen jedem/r Teilnehmenden maximal 75 Minuten für Einrichten der Bühne, Beleuchtung und Probe zur Verfügung.
10. Die Teilnehmenden werden in Doppelzimmern untergebracht, die sie sich jeweils mit einem anderen Teilnehmenden teilen. Der Veranstalter übernimmt die Hotelkosten (inkl. Frühstück) und zahlt einen Zuschuss zu den Reisekosten.
11. Die Preisträger/innen sind verpflichtet, an der „Gala der Preisträger des 21. Internationalen Solo-Tanz-Theater Festivals Stuttgart 2017“ teilzunehmen. Diese Tournee findet vom 17. bis 27. November 2017 in Deutschland statt. Diese Auftritte werden honoriert, Reise-, Hotel- und Verpflegungskosten werden übernommen.
