IMMA e Dublin Dance Festival. Casting per una serie di lavori di Yvonne Rainer (Irlanda)

La danzatrice americana, pioniera, coreografa, filmmaker, e scrittrice Yvonne Rainer è invitata da IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublino) a presentare una serie dei suoi primi lavori in associazione col Dublin Dance Festival 2018.
Per questo progetto si cercano 3 danzatori.
I lavori includono Trio A with Flags (1966), Talking Solo da Terrain (1963), Chair/Pillow (1969) (soggetto a cambio di titolo)
Per la produzione di questi lavori so cercano danzatori professionisti che rispondano ai seguenti requisiti:
- Persone con una pratica di danza sviluppata e in divenire e sostanziale esperienza di scena.
- la nudità è inclusa in qualche performance.
- I danzatori dovranno essere disponibili a prender parte a tutte le prove.
- Qualche prova e performance sarà filmata per archivio formazione e promozione.
Date
- Audizione: 19 aprile al Dance Ireland
- Prove: dal 23 aprile al 2 maggio e dal 9 all’11 maggio inclusi al Dance Ireland
- Performance: Sabato 12 e domenica 13 maggio all’IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art), Dublino

- Lettera che descriva il proprio interesse e la propria adeguatezza
- Curriculum vitae che specifichi per chi avete danzato e cosa (che genere) oltre al training e formazione
- link e password di qualche video su piattaforma web (vimeo, youtube…) che contenga l’espressione di interesse verso questo lavoro e un footage selezionato di precedenti lavori oltre a qualsiasi cosa riteniate rilevante
Ai candidati selezionati che verranno invitati all’audizione verrà data notifica entro il 2 marzo 2018.
Le prove e gli spettacoli saranno retribuiti.
I primi lavori di Yvonne Rainer, presentati da IMMA, sono in associazione col Dublin Dance Festival e col supporto di Project Arts Centre e del Dance Ireland.

Casting call for dancers to perform a series of works by Yvonne Rainer
Pioneering American dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, and writer Yvonne Rainer is invited by IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin) to present a series of her early works, in association with Dublin Dance Festival 2018.
3 Dancers Required
Works include Trio A with Flags (1966), Talking Solo from Terrain (1963), Chair/Pillow (1969) (subject to change)
For the production of these works, we are looking for professional dancers who meet the following requirements:
- Persons with a developed and ongoing dance practice with substantial performing experience.
- Nudity is included in some of the performances.
- Dancers will need to be available to attend all of the rehearsals.
- Some rehearsals and performances will be filmed for archival, educational and promotional purposes.
Dates
- Audition: Thu. 19th April at Dance Ireland
- Rehearsals: Mon. 23rd April – Wed. 2nd May, and Wed. 9th – Fri. 11th May 2018, inclusive, at Dance Ireland
- Performances: Sat. 12th & Sun. 13th May at IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art), Dublin

- Letter outlining your interest and suitability
- Curriculum vitae, including whom you have performed for, in what genres, your training and education
- Link and password to some videos uploaded on a web platform (vimeo, youtube…) that contains you speaking about why you are interested in this work; selected footage of your previous work; anything else you think may be relevant
Successful applicants who are invited to audition will be notified by 2 March 2018.
Rehearsal and performance fees will be paid.
