IDFB, International Dance Festival Birmingham, sta cercando performers contemporanei (uomini e donne) per The Machine Show. Prodotto da DanceXchange in partnership con Birmingham Hippodrome, l’International Dance Festival Birmingham si tiene in luoghi e spazi all’aperto tra Birmingham e le West Midlands dal 1 al 22 maggio 2016.
The Machine Show è uno spettacolo tra circo e nuova danza su musica dal vivo della band francese Rinôçérôse, che è influenzata dall’industria manifatturiera di Birmingham e guarda alla rivoluzione industriale.
IDFB sta cercando di formare una compagnia di 8 danzatori robusti, tonici e fisicamente forti con grande presenza scenica per prendere parte a The Machine Show, diretto da David Massingham e Rosie Kay; il gruppo formerà un organico di danzatori che, all’interno di 40 minuti di spettacolo, lavoreranno al fianco dei solisti e della band.
Capacità creative, forte fisicità e resistenza sono requisiti essenziali. La performance si terrà in palco all’aperto alle ore 21.30 pertanto i candidati devono aver voglia di lavorare in questo contesto. Inoltre devono avere il permesso per lavorare nel Regno Unito ed essere disponibili per l’intera durata del contratto (indicazioni sotto).

Paga: £1500 onorario per il progetto
Spese: previste per i danzatori basati al di fuori di Birmingham

Male and Female Contemporary Performers International Dance Festival Birmingham is seeking a contemporary performers for The Machine Show. Produced by DanceXchange in partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome, International Dance Festival Birmingham takes place in venues and outdoor spaces across Birmingham and the West Midlands from 1 – 22 May 2016.
The Machine Show, is a brand new dance and circus spectacular performance headlined with live music by the French band Rinôçérôse, taking influence from the manufacturing and automotive industry in Birmingham and looking back at the industrial revolution and machinery.
IDFB seeks to form a company of 8 physically fit and robust dancers with a strong stage presence to be part of The Machine Show. Directed by Creative Director David Massingham and dx Associate Artist Choreographer Rosie Kay of Rosie Kay Dance Company, the group will form a regiment of dancers within this 40min work, working alongside soloists and the band.
Creative skills, robust physical strength and stamina are all essential criteria. The performance will take place on an outdoor open-air stage at 9.30pm and so applicants must be willing to work in this environment and setting. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be available for the duration of the contract as below.
