Gianluca Vincentini cerca candidati di tutti i generi per il nuovo progetto della Möbius Dance, un nuovo lavoro con Jamaal Burkmar e Douglas Thorpe. Per candidarsi bisogna avere base nel Nord del Regno Unito.
Möbius Dance è una compagnia in movimento. Come compagnia intendono partecipare allo sviluppo, alla creazione e alla crescita della scena coreutica contemporanea a livello internazionale. Offrono spazi per imparare, scoprire e riscoprire, per sfidarsi e per lasciarsi trasportare. Apprezzano molto la produttività e l’inclusività nelle pratiche di lavoro collaborative. Lavorano con artisti che hanno un occhio indagatore verso la condizione attuale delle discipline umanistiche e che possono creare un linguaggio fisico che si destreggia tra le sfumature.
Questa è una opportunità stimolante per performer che vogliano dimostrare un alto livello di impegno, entusiasmo, talento eccezionale e che hanno sede nel nord dell’Inghilterra.
L’audizione è solo su invito e si terrà il 17 novembre 2018 alla Northern School of Contemporary Dance di Leeds. Recall (per i candidati selezionati): 18 novembre 2018.
I performer devono essere disponibili per tutta la durata del progetto.
- prove per creazione: 4 settimane dall’11 al 22 febbraio 2019 e dal 4 al 15 marzo 2019;
- spettacoli: 20 e 21 marzo 2019 (spettacolo il 21); 5 e 6 aprile 2019 (spettacolo il 6).
Le seguenti date devono ancora essere confermate e dipendono da finanziamento: dal 3 al 6 luglio 2019 (prove spettacoli); dall’8 al 22 luglio 2019. Date in autunno sono in contrattazione e distribuzione.

Gianluca Vincentini is seeking applications for Möbius Dance’s new project from performers of all genders based in the North of England to create new dance works with Jamaal Burkmar and Douglas Thorpe.
Möbius Dance is a company in motion. We endeavour to partake in the development, creation and nurturing of the contemporary dance scene internationally. We offer spaces to learn, discover and rediscover, be challenged and be moved. We highly value the productivity and inclusivity of collaborative working practices. We work with artists that have an inquiring eye for humanities current condition, who can create a nuanced yet dextrous physical language.
This is an exciting opportunity for performers who can demonstrate high level of commitment, enthusiasm, exceptional talent and are based in the North of England.
Where: Auditions will be held at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds and will be by invitation only.
Audition date: 17th November 2018
Recall (selected candidates): 18th November 2018
Performers must be available for the full length of the project.
- Creation: 4 weeks: 11 – 22 Feb 2019; 4 – 15 March 2019;
- Performances: 20 – 21 March 2019 (Performance on the 21 March); 5 – 6 April 2019 (Performance).
The following dates are yet to be confirmed and are funding dependent:
- 3 – 6 July 2019 (CPD and Performances); 8 – 22 July 2019 (TBC).
- Dates for Autumn 2019 are being developed.
