Il Frankfurt LAB è uno spazio per prove e performance sperimentali nell’ambito della performing arts e della musica con due sale da spettacolo. Suoi partners sono Ensemble Modern, la Forsythe Company (oggi Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company), Hessische Theaterakademie, Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst, e la Künstlerhaus Mousonturm e con essi ne condivide le responsabilità artistiche.
Dal 2014 il Frankfurt LAB ospita una programma annuale di residenze. La residenza è intesa per artisti di ogni disciplina. Offre un mese di tempo per la ricerca, per preparare e procedere nel processo artistico in uno degli spazi per le prove. La residenza non intende dare soltanto uno spazio per le prove bensì anche tutto l’apparato tecnico (se tutto è disponibile), assistenza tecnica di base, così some un supporto finanziario per i materiali necessari oltre a un ammontare di 700 Euro a persona per un massimo di 2 persone a gruppo ed eventualmente anche la copertura dei viaggi e dei costi di sistemazione/alloggio. Il Frankfurt LAB offre anche la possibilità di presentare il risultato del lavoro all’interno del format Miniaturen (Miniatures).
Nel 2016 sono offerte due residenze: i gruppi scelti avranno lo spazio dal 1 al 31 agosto 2016 per due settimane di prove, può essere data la grande sala del Frankfurt LAB che può essere divisa in due studi di circa 250 mq ciascuno.

Frankfurt Lab. Call for residency programme
The Frankfurt LAB is a rehearsal and performance space for experimental work in the performing arts and music with two performance halls. Its’ partners Ensemble Modern, the Forsythe Company, today Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, Hessische Theaterakademie, Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst, and Künstlerhaus Mousonturm share the artistic responsibility.
Since 2014 the Frankfurt LAB is hosting an annual residency programme. The residency is meant for artists from every dicipline. It offers a month’s worth of time for research, prepare and progress of artistic work in one of the given rehearsal spaces. A residency means not only having a rehearsal space, but also technical equipment (as much as is available), basic technical assistance, as well as financial help for the needed material and a 700 Euro grant for each of a maximum of 2 people to a group, eventually also travel and accomodation costs. The Frankfurt LAB will also offer the possiblity to present the results within the the format Miniaturen (Miniatures).
2016 two residencies can be offered. The selected groups will be provided with a rehearsal space from Aug. 1st to Aug. 31st, for two weeks of the rehearsal time, the big hall of Frankfurt LAB can be offered, which will be devided in two studios, leaving about 250 square meters per studio.
