Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company ha annunciato un bando per pezzi brevi da presentare nella quarta edizione dell’ Echo Echo Festival of Dance and Movement che si svolgerà il 18 e 19 novembre 2016 a Derry, nell’Irlanda del Nord, presso Echo Echo Studio Theatre, Waterloo House, Magazine Street.
Si cercano brevi performance che saranno parte del programma misto delle serate del 18 e 19 novembre 2016. Questa è un’opportunità, per gli artisti del movimento, di presentare il proprio lavoro in un festival internazionale nel Nord dell’Irlanda.
I lavori proposti non devono essere di durata maggiore a 15 minuti. Si prendono in considerazione debutti, lavori che sono già stati presentati prima, proposte di semi-improvvisazioni, video proiezioni.
Come candidarsi:
Si incoraggiano gli artisti ad inviare le informazioni relative alle proposte nella forma a loro più consona. Ciò include biografia dettagliata, descrizioni, processo lavorativo, materiale fotografico, link-video del lavoro proposto e/o di quelli precedenti (si prega di non inviare allegati video nell’email a meno siano davvero piccoli files e se possibile mandare link per la visione in streaming piuttosto che doverli scaricare). Gli organizzatori ritengono che il “promo clips” sia una via generalmente povera per capire il pezzo, pertanto se viene inviato un promo si prega di mandarne anche uno integrale. Inviate il maggior materiale possibile che ritenete necessario per rappresentare appieno la vostra proposta ma ricordate anche che gli organizzatori hanno un tempo limitato e che ricevono un numero davvero elevato di candidature quindi siate realistici.

Non ci sono costi di partecipazione. Il festival può coprire le spese di viaggio e la sistemazione per minimo tre notti.

Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company is pleased to announce an open call for short works to be performed in the fourth edition of the Echo Echo Festival of Dance and Movement in November 2016.
Where: Echo Echo Studio Theatre, Waterloo House, Magazine Street, Derry, Northern Ireland – BT48 6HH
When: Evenings of 18th and 19th November 2016
Deadline for applications: 31st July 2016
We are looking for short performances which will be part of a mixed programme on the evenings of 18th and 19th November 2016. This is an opportunity for movement artists to have their work performed at an international festival in Northern Ireland.
Echo Echo Festival is able to provide some travel expenses and accommodation for minimum three nights.
Proposed works should be not more than 15 minutes in length. We are happy to consider first performances, performances of work that has already been shown before, proposals for improvisation scores, projection/video work.
How to apply:
We encourage you to send us the information on your proposal in the form that makes most sense to you. This could include biographical detail, written descriptions, working process, photographs, links to video recordings of work proposed and/or previous work (please don’t attach videos to email however small the file may be and if possible please send a link for streaming rather than for download). We feel that short “promo clips” of pieces are generally a very poor way to understand a piece of work so if you send a link to one of those please also consider sending a link to a video recording of the full piece as well. Please send as much material as you think is necessary to represent your proposal well but do remember that we have limited time and we receive a very large number of them so being realistically concise is very helpful for us.
