Dance Camera West ha annunciato il bando per la 15° edizione del Dance Media Film Festival. Ogni genere di danza è accolto.

Categorie incluse: cortometraggi, lungometraggi, documentari, animazioni e video interattivi.

Coinvolge anche: Live performances, 3rd Annual CalArts Emerging Artists Competition, Virtual Interactive Dance, e il 5th Annual Dance- Along.

Luoghi coinvolti in passato: The Music Center, REDCAT, MOCA, The Getty Museum, LACMA, Hammer Museum e Grand Park.

Date importanti per le candidature al festival:  scadenza presentazione candidature 1 febbraio; le notifiche saranno inviate via mail entro il 1 marzo 2016. Il Festival si svolgerà in giugno. Le date verranno annunciate in seguito.

Tassa di iscrizione per il Dance Camera West Festival: per i membri gratuitamente e per i non membri $60.

Per essere considerati come candidati è richiesto: 

• Completo DCW entry form Membership oppure la tassa di iscrizione
• Link all’entry form (password opzionale)
• video maggiori ai 20 minuti devono essere presentati tramite DVD

Regole per candidarsi al Festival

1. i video devono essere caricati online nella loro totalità per i lavori di meno di 20 minuti – la password è opzionale – versione Pro Res o compatibile in blu-Ray sarà richiesta se si verrà invitati al festival.
2. I lavori di durata maggiore ai 20 minuti saranno accettati in DVD e devono essere spediti entro il 31 gennaio 2016. Si prega di includere una copia stampata del proprio entry form e non chiedere una conferma da parte del Dance Camera West. Segnare il plico con: “Film for Festival- No commercial value”. 3. al DCW viene data l’autorizzazione a utilizzare alcuni estratti del lavoro nel materiale promozionale del DCW

Dance Camera West 15th Annual Dance Film Festival

Dance Camera West is thrilled to announce its 15th Annual Dance Media Film Festival call for submissions. We welcome dance media in any dance style or genre.

Categories include: short films, feature length, documentary, animation and interactive dance media.

Highlights include: Live performances, 3rd Annual CalArts Emerging Artists Competition, Virtual Interactive Dance, and the 5th Annual Dance- Along. Past venues include: The Music Center, REDCAT, MOCA, The Getty Museum, LACMA, Hammer Museum and Grand Park.

Important Dates for festival submissions:

• Final Deadline: February 1st, 2016
• Festival Notifications will be sent via email by March 1st, 2016
• Festival takes place in June Dates TBA
• Dance Camera West Festival Entry Fee:
• Members submit for FREE. Non-members fee $60.

To Be Considered for the festival, the following are required:

Completed DCW entry form Membership or entry fee

Link of entry (passwords optional)

Entries longer than 20 minutes must be submitted by DVD

Festival Entry Regulations For Festival Submissions

1. Entrants must submit an online version of their entry for work less that 20 minutes. Passwords are optional. A Pro Res, Blu-Ray compatible version of film entries will be requested if entry is invited into the festival.
2. Works over 20 minutes will be accepted by DVD and should be mailed to the following address postmarked by January 31, 2016. Please include a printed copy of your entry form and DO NOT REQUEST signature confirmation by Dance Camera West. When sending media through customs, please designate: “Film for Festival- No commercial value. Send to: DANCE CAMERA WEST – 2934 ½ BEVERLY GLEN CIRCLE #292 – LOS ANGELES, CA 90077
3. DCW is given the right to use excerpts from you work in all DCW promotional materials.
4. DISCLAIMER/LIABILITY: Every effort will be made to protect entries while in the Festival’s care; however, the festival and its sponsors do not assume liability for damage or loss of media.
