Cinematica è un festival internazionale che si occupa specificatamente della relazione immagine-movimento nelle arti visive, filmiche e performative. Si ispira al concetto di image-mouvement del filosofo Gilles Deleuze per indagare nelle diverse forme d’arte la “messa in movimento” dell’immagine e quindi dell’immaginazione e percezione dello spettatore.
Il festival, insieme alla programmazione che prevede proiezioni video e cinematografiche, spettacoli, esposizioni, installazioni e laboratori, vuole convogliare nuove tendenze della sperimentazione audiovisiva e performativa, con una forte attenzione alla radice corporea e percettiva. Per questo grande attenzione viene posta su processi di embodiment e questioni di somatica e neuroscienze, trasmettendo codici visivi e informatici ai bambini e ai grandi nel rispetto dell’umanità e degli spazi/tempi corporei.
Il filo conduttore della IV edizione che si terrà ad Ancona (Italia) a metà ottobre 2016, è ‘ALTER EGO’, suggerendo una riflessione creativa sulle modalità con cui l’essere umano produce una rappresentazione del sé ‘altra’, in cui rispecchiarsi, riflettersi, fino a distaccarsi e eventualmente diventare altro, un’altra persona, essere, ente, entità, cosa, personaggio. Su questo concetto, declinato con la massima libertà (impersonificazione, alterità, doppio, trans, personaggio, avatar, phantasmata, ombra, deità, supereroe) raccogliamo proposte artistiche per l’ edizione 2016 del Festival.
DESTINATARI
Artisti di qualsiasi età e nazionalità (anche in forma associata) nelle diverse sezioni sottoindicate con un curriculum all’attivo di almeno tre anni di esperienza professionale (post formazione).
SEZIONI
Si accettano opere che rispondano al tema della IV edizione del Festival “ALTER EGO” nelle seguenti sezioni:
- VIDEODANZA: opere di videodanza (no registrazioni di spettacoli) di durata max 10 minuti. Saranno selezionate opere che hanno una forte attenzione al montaggio in relazione alla coreografia o che trasmettono una sensazione di movimento (non necessariamente umano e coreografico in senso stretto) attraverso il linguaggio cinematografico e/o di animazione
- INSTALLAZIONI AUDIOVIDEO: (programmabili in loop) anche in connessione con oggetti, sculture, fotografia. Cerchiamo installazioni che mettano in movimento lo spettatore sia da un punto di vista percettivo che fisico, cercando strade inconsuete per stimolare la partecipazione attiva all’evento artistico, in relazione al contenuto che si vuole trasmettere.
- PERFORMANCE: (preferibilmente assoli o duo) che propongano relazioni innovative e poetiche tra danza e nuove tecnologie, danza e immagine (video o animata, anche per bambini), performance public engaging (itineranti o one to one).
ISCRIZIONE
Inviare all’indirizzo e-mail info@cinematicafestival.com specificando in oggetto la sezione a cui si intende iscriversi (una per artista) entro il 24 luglio 2016 i seguenti materiali:
- CV artisti e/o portfolio con dati anagrafici dell’artista/i;
- descrizione del progetto con cui si intende partecipare (max una pagina formato A4);
- Scheda tecnica;
- Una selezione di max 5 fotografie;
- Link al materiale audio/video che deve essere reso disponibile su Vimeo o Youtube (nel caso di performance registrazione totale dello spettacolo)
RISULTATI
Per la sezione VIDEODANZA: una selezione di video verrà effettuata a discrezione dell’organizzazione. I video verranno visionati durante le giornate del festival durante proiezioni pubbliche. Al termine del Festival il video vincitore verrà insignito del premio “Ballando Ballando” consistente in una somma di 300€ da parte di una giuria di almeno 3 esperti del settore (offerto dall’azienda omonima che produce abiti per la danza www.ballandoballando.com)
Per la sezione INSTALLAZIONE: i progetti selezionati, a discrezione dell’organizzazione, saranno realizzati durante le giornate del festival. Verrà offerta la scheda tecnica e l’ospitalità per un artista a progetto. Per i viaggi verrà dato un rimborso spese fino a max 100€. L’eventuale spedizione delle opere e l’assicurazione di trasporto è a carico dell’artista selezionato.
Per la sezione PERFORMANCE: i progetti selezionati a discrezione dell’organizzazione saranno ospitati all’interno della programmazione con un contributo economico da valutare in base al progetto. Tutti gli artisti partecipanti devono essere in agibilità a carico della compagnia. Gli artisti saranno ospitati a carico dell’organizzazione (max due persone) . Per i viaggi il festival darà un rimborso spese fino a max 100€ a compagnia.
COPYRIGHT
Sottoponendo l’opera, il partecipante accetta che possa essere presentata al Festival e che il materiale possa essere pubblicato sul sito del festival o ceduto alla stampa per finalità di promozione. Si autorizza il Festival Cinematica e l’Associazione organizzatrice (Ventottozerosei) ad archiviare il materiale e a renderlo accessibile tramite il sito web del Festival. Tutti i diritti sulle immagini del progetto resteranno all’artista. L’Organizzazione è inoltre autorizzata a documentare tramite registrazioni audio video o immagini lo svolgimento della manifestazione in ogni sua fase.

Cinematica. Call for artists
Cinematica is an international festival that deals specifically with the image-movement relationship in the visual and performing arts.
It is inspired by the concept of imàge-mouvement of the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze and it aims at investigating how this concept is represented in different art forms to stimulate the “setting in motion” of the image, and then of the imagination and perception of the viewer.
The festival, along with the programme that includes video and film screenings, performances, exhibitions, installations and laboratories, wants to convey new trends in audiovisual and performance experimentations, with a strong focus on their physical and perceptive roots. Hence great attention is paid to processes of embodiment and somatic issues and neurosciences, transmitting visual and computer codes to both children and adults with great respect of humanity and body spaces and times.
The subject of the 4th edition (mid-October in Ancona, Italy, a marine town and seaport on the Adriatic coast) is ‘Alter Ego’, suggesting a creative reflection on the ways in which the human being produces a representation of the ‘other’ from itself, on which to be mirrored and reflected, up to detach and eventually become another, another person, being, body, entity, thing, character. On this concept, declined in total freedom (impersonation, otherness, double, trans, character, avatar, phantasmata, shadow, deities, superhero) we collect artistic proposals for the 2016 edition of the Festival.
RECIPIENTS
Artists of all ages and nationalities (including artists associated) in the different sections indicated below with a resume assets of at least three years of professional experience (post training).
SECTIONS
We accept works that respond to the subject of the 4th edition of the “ALTER EGO Festival” in the following sections:
- VIDEODANCE: works of video dance (no recordings of performances) of max 10 minutes duration. Selected works will have a strong focus on fitting in relation to choreography or convey a sense of motion (not necessarily human and choreographycal in the strict sense) through the language of film and/or animation
- AUDIOVISUAL INSTALLATIONS: (to be shown in loop) also in connection with objects, sculptures, photography. We look for installations that put the viewer in motion from a perceptive and/or physical point of view, looking for unusual ways to encourage active participation in the artistic event, in relation to the content to be transmitted.
- PERFORMANCE: (solo or duo) that propose innovative and poetic relationship between dance and new technologies, dance and image (video or animated, even for children), public engaging performance (itinerant or one to one).
ENTRY
Send the following materials to info@cinematicafestival.com specifying the section to which you want to register (one for each artist) until 24 July 2016:
- CV artists and / or portfolio with personal data of the artist/s;
- description of the project with which they will participate (maximum one A4 page);
- Data sheet;
- A selection of up to 5 photos;
- Links to the audio/video material to be made available on Vimeo or Youtube (in the case of total recording performance of the show)
RESULTS
For the VIDEODANCE section: videos will be shortlisted by the organizing commitee and viewed during the days of the festival. At the end of the Festival one video will be awarded with the prize “Ballando ballando” (€ 300) by a jury of at least three experts (offered by the dancedress factory www.ballandoballando.it). Other prizes will be given at the discretion of the organization.
For the INSTALLATION section: projects selected by the organizing commitee will be realized during the days of the festival. It will be offered hospitality for an artist to project. For travel it will be given a refund of up to max 100 €. The artist will be in charge of shipment and insurance costs.
For the PERFORMANCE section: projects selected will be included in the program with a financial contribution to be assessed according to the project. The artists will be hosted by the organization (maximum two). For travel, the festival will give a reimbursement of expenses up to max 100 € per company.
COPYRIGHT
Subjecting the work, the participant accepts that it can be presented at the Festival and that the material will be published on the festival website or given to the press for promotional purposes. It authorizes the Cinematica Festival and the organizing Association (Ventottozerosei) to store the material and make it available through the Festival web site. All images rights of the project will remain to the artist. The Organization is also authorized to document through the holding of the event at every stage audio video recordings or images.
