Da 37 anni il Ballett Gesellschaft Hannover organizza il Concorso Internazionale per Coreografi di Hannover. Negli ultimi anni questo concorso si è affermato come un evento importante nel panorama della danza nazionale e internazionale. L’internazionalità di entrambe le parti, dei coreografi partecipanti e della giuria, dimostra l’alto livello internazionale di questo concorso unico in Germania.
La prossima edizione del concorso si terrà il 16 e 17 giugno 2023 a Hannover, in Germania.
Queste sono le linee guida del concorso:
- Tutti i partecipanti, coreografi e ballerini, devono avere una formazione professionale.
- I coreografi devono avere 39 anni o meno.
- Il concorso è aperto a qualsiasi tipo di stile.
- La valutazione si basa esclusivamente sull’uso immaginativo dello spazio e del tempo, sulla realizzazione di un’idea e sul suo trasferimento sugli interpreti.
- Durata della performance: 5 – 12 minuti.
- Un assolo non può essere interpretato dal coreografo stesso.
- Il candidato è libero di scegliere il soggetto e la musica.
- Il lavoro coreografico può essere inviato come link internet (youtube, vimeo, ecc.)
- Una giuria selezionerà un massimo di 20 lavori presentati, che parteciperanno al concorso.
- Termine ultimo per l’iscrizione: 9 aprile 2023.

Premi di produzione
Premio di produzione Compagnia di danza Theater Osnabrück
La Dance Company Theater Osnabrück, sotto la direzione della direttrice e coreografa Marguerite Donlon, assegna per la prima volta un premio di produzione. Il vincitore di questo premio sarà invitato a creare un nuovo lavoro con i danzatori professionisti della compagnia che sarà poi rappresentato al Emma Theatre Osnabrück nell’ambito di Next Step.
Il viaggio, l’alloggio e il compenso faranno parte del premio.
Premio di produzione Teatro Nordhausen
Ivan Alboresi – direttore del balletto del Theater Nordhausen – assegnerà per la prima volta un premio di produzione nel 2023.
Premio di produzione Theater Trier
Roberto Scafati, direttore del Balletto del Theater Trier, assegnerà un premio di produzione. Il premio prevede lo sviluppo di una coreografia di 20 minuti con i ballerini del Theater Trier, che sarà presentata nell’ambito di una serata di danza.
Premio di produzione della MiR Dance Company
Giuseppe Spota, direttore della MiR Dance Company al Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen, assegnerà un Production Award.
Premio di produzione della Fondazione Tanja Liedtke al Teatro di Stato di Hannover
Marco Goecke, direttore del balletto dello Staatstheater di Hannover, assegnerà un premio di produzione. Il premio comprende lo sviluppo di una coreografia di 15 minuti con i ballerini del teatro. Il compenso è donato dalla Fondazione Tanja Liedtke.
Premio di produzione Theater Pforzheim
Il Theater Pforzheim dona un premio di produzione per la serata di balletto contemporaneo in più parti “TANZ PUR”. Il vincitore è invitato a creare una prima mondiale con i ballerini del Ballett Theater Pforzheim nell’ambito di “TANZ PUR”. Il direttore del balletto Guido Markowitz, membro della giuria, assegnerà il premio. Il compenso dell’artista comprende le spese di alloggio durante il periodo di produzione.
Premio di produzione NTM
Il vincitore dell’NTM Production Award riceve l’offerta di lavorare con l’Ensemble della NTM Dance per creare una coreografia al Nationaltheater Mannheim nell’ambito di una serata di danza a più voci. Il premio viene assegnato da Stephan Thoss, direttore della danza e capo coreografo del Nationaltheater Mannheim.

Choreography 37. International Competition for Choreographers Hanover
Since 37 years the Ballett Gesellschaft Hannover organize the International Competition for Choreographers Hanover. This competition estimated within the last years as an important event in the national and international dance scene. The internationality of the both sides, the participating choreographers and the jury shows the high international ranking of this unique competition in Germany.

These are the competition guidelines:
All participants, choreographers and dancers, ought to have professional training.
Choreographers must be 39 or younger. The competition is open to any kind of style. Evaluation is based exclusively on imaginative use of space and time, the realisation of an idea, and its transfer onto the performers. The duration of the performance: 5 – 12 minutes. A solo-ballet may not be interpreted by the choreographer him/herself. The applicant is free in his choice of subject and music. The choreographic work can be send as an Internet link ( youtube, vimeo, etc.) A prejury will select a maximum of 20 the submitted works, which will enter the contest.

Production Awards
NEW: Production Award Dance Company Theater Osnabrück
Dance Company Theater Osnabrück under the direction of Director and Choreographer Marguerite Donlon awards a production prize for the first time. The winner of this prize will be invited to create a new work with the professional dancers of the company which will be subsequently performed in the Emma Theatre Osnabrück as part of “Next Step”.
Travel, accommodation and fee will be part of the award.
NEW: Production Award Theater Nordhausen
Ivan Alboresi – ballet director of Theater Nordhausen – will award a production prize for the first time in 2023.
Production Award Theater Trier
The Ballet Director at Theater Trier, Roberto Scafati, will award a production prize. The prize includes the development of a 20-minute choreography with dancers from the Trier Theatre, which will be presented as part of a dance evening.
MiR Dance Company Production Award
The director of the MiR Dance Company at the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen, Giuseppe Spota, will award a Production Award.
Production Award from the Tanja Liedtke Foundation at the State Theater in Hannover
Marco Goecke, Ballet Director at the Staatstheater Hannover, awards a production prize. The Award includes the development of a 15-minute choreography with the dancers of the theater. The fee for this is donated by the Tanja Liedtke Foundation.
Production Award Theater Pforzheim
The Theater Pforzheim donates a production prize for the multi-part, contemporary ballet evening “TANZ PUR”. The winner is invited to create a world premiere with dancers of the Ballett Theater Pforzheim as part of “TANZ PUR”. Ballet director Guido Markowitz, member of the jury, will award the prize. The artist’s fee includes the accommodation costs during the production period.
NTM Production Award
The winner of the NTM Production Award receives the offer to work with the Ensemble of the NTM Dance to create a choreography at the Nationaltheater Mannheim as part of a multi-part dance evening. The prize is awarded by Stephan Thoss, Director Dance and Chief Choreographer at the Nationaltheater Mannheim.
