Chisenhale Dance Space in partnership con il l Marlborough Theatre, Brighton, supportato dall’ Arts Council England, annuncia una nuova opportunità.

Scadenza per le candidature: martedì 1 giugno 2016 a mezzanotte (senza eccezioni).

Criteri per la commissione

1. Possono candidarsi danzatori, artisti del movimento, artisti che mettano il corpo o il movimento come chiave della loro pratica e/o ricerca.
2. La commissione è per creare o per fare ricerca per un nuovo lavoro di piccole dimensioni – anche nel numero di artisti partecipanti – che non supererà i 50 minuti.
3. Ci deve essere un piano curatoriale chiaramente sviluppato per i ‘Dialogue events’
4. Budget chiaro e realistico

Commissione

• £2,000 di cachet, materiale e parte tecnica
• 21 giorni di ricerca e prove negli spazi del CDS e supporto tecnico
• Viaggi e sistemazione,  40 ore di prove nello spazio del Marlborough Theare e supporto tecnico
• ll budget per curare i pubblici eventi Dialogue Events
• Viaggi da Londra a Brighton per la residenza pre-performance
• Documentazione del processo creativo
• Supporto di produzione per l’intero periodo

Dialogue Events

Gli artisti commissionati avranno l’opportunità di curare due eventi pubblici invitando altri artisti e professionisti nell’ambito del CDS per supportare la loro ricerca. Ciò potrebbe avere la forma di una lettura (su invito), simposio, performance, un seminario o delle classi per sostenere la ricerca degli artisti.

Chisenhale Dance Space in primary partnership with the Marlborough Theatre, Brighton, supported by Arts Council England are announcing a new commission opportunity.

Deadline for submissions: Tuesday 1 June, Midnight (no exceptions)

Criteria for commissions

1. Dancers, movement artists or live artists-who feel dance, movement or the body holds a key place in their practice, can apply
2. The commission must be to create or research new work that is small in scale – inclusive of number of participant artists – and will not exceed 50 min.
3. There must be a clearly developed curatorial plan for the dialogue events – how they shape your work and engage publics
4. Clear and realistic budgeting

Commissioning scheme

• £2,000 commission fee + materials and technical budgets
• 21 days of research and rehearsal space at CDS plus technical support
• Travel/Accommodation and 40 hours of rehearsal space at the Marlborough plus technical support
• Curatorial budget to create public facing “Dialogue Events”
• Travel costs from London to Brighton for residency pre-performance
• Documentation of process/product
• Producers support along the entire process

Dialogue Events

The commissioned artist will have the opportunity to curate two public facing events (of varied form and scope) inviting other artists/professionals into CDS to support their research. This might take form of invited lecture, symposium, performance, workshop or set of classes to support the artists’ inquiry.
