Bucharest International Dance Film Festival invita registi, coreografi e altri artisti a proporre i loro video di danza per la quarta edizione del BIDFF che si svolgerà dal 6 al 9 settembre 2018 a Bucarest, in Romania. Il Festival avrà anche una sezione di proiezioni fuori concorso.
BIDFF cerca film d’avanguardia con un significato a volte chiaro e a volte codificato, sfidando lo spettatore ad uno scambio giocoso di informazioni sulla vita sociale, sulla politica, sulle emozioni estreme, sui luoghi comuni e sull’estetica della danza. BIDFF incoraggia il sincretismo e il dialogo tra il movimento e le diverse forme del cinema, dal più tradizionale allo sperimentale.
Il concorso è aperto a fiction, documentari e animazioni di tutto il mondo, con un montepremi di 3000 euro.
Nella sezione concorso verranno accettati dei corti della durata massima di 20 minuti, mentre invece i documentari e i lungometraggi possono essere proiettati come parte di diverse selezioni basate su temi. I video devono essere stati prodotti negli ultimi 2 anni. E’ richiesta una qualità minima in Full HD (1920 x 1080) per le copie. Si possono candidare al massimo due opere. Entrambi verranno presi in considerazione. Non verranno considerati invece i video già candidati a precedenti edizioni del festival.

Bucharest International Dance Film Festival (6-9 September 2018) invites film directors, choreographers and other artists to submit their dance films to the fourth edition of BIDFF. The Festival can also screen off competition feature films and long documentaries.

BIDFF is looking for cutting edge dance films with a sometimes transparent and sometimes coded meaning, challenging the viewer to a playful exchange of information about social life, politics, extreme emotions, out of the ordinary places and oddly beautiful dance aesthetics. BIDFF encourages syncretism and dialogue between movement and the diverse forms of cinema from the most traditional to experimental. The competition is open for fiction short dance films, documentaries and animations around the world, with a prize pool of 3000 euro.
Shorts of maximum 20 minutes will be accepted in the competition sections, while long documentaries and features can be screened as part of different theme based selections. Films should be produced in the last 2 years. A minimum quality of Full HD (1920 x 1080) is required for the exhibition copies. You can submit a maximum of 2 films. Both can be taken into consideration. Films submitted to previous editions of the festival will not be taken into consideration.
