L’ International Performance & Dance Festival sta per entrare nella sua 11esima stagione nel 2019. L’equipe del pad performance art depot invita nuovamente gli artisti di tutto il mondo a presentare i loro lavori a Mainz, in Germania, tra aprile e inizio maggio 2019.
Cosa offre il Festival:
- Un festival internazionale in piccola scala ma dall’alto profilo e accogliente nell’atmosfera.
- Lo spazio e lo staff. Pad è uno straordinario e bellissimo spazio indipendente con uno staff impegnato, ed è la sede sia degli artisti Schmitt & Schulz, sia di una piattaforma per il teatro innovativo e sperimentale, la danza, la performance, l’arte dal vivo ed altre forme di arti performative contemporanee.
- Un pubblico aperto ed interessato. La stampa i curatori e i direttori artistici di altri festival e teatri sono invitati.
- Un cachet modesto e la copertura delle spese di viaggio. Ci facciamo carico anche della sistemazione e del vitto.
Cosa cercano:
- progetti di performance inusuali con diversi background artistici: possono esser create su luci e/o suoni o includere video arte, arte digitale, arte multimediale oppure basate interamente sulla fisicità nella coreografia e nella danza.
- produzioni che sono adattabili ad un palcoscenico inusuale con requisiti tecnici basici e standard.
- Piccole compagnie che idealmente consistano in non più di 5 persone; si viaggerà in voli low cost o con altri mezzi ma sempre economici.
Come candidarsi: bisogna includere via e-mail o via posta all’indirizzo sotto indicato, un breve curriculum vitae o presentazione della propria compagnia, la descrizione del progetto e un DVD o documentazione video online della performance – preferibilmente materiale lungo e continuo. Senza questo non è possibile invitarvi. Si prega di NON mandare foto in alta risoluzione per non intasare la casella di posta.
La scadenza per l’invio delle candidature è il 29 giugno 2018.

Call For Artists / International Performance and Dance Festival (Mainz, Germany)
The performance art depot’ s International Performance & Dance Festival is going into its 11th season in 2019! We, the pad team, again invite artists from all around the world to perform on our stage in Mainz, Germany, between APRIL to beginning of MAY, 2019.
We offer:
- A unique international festival that is small in scale but high in profile and welcoming in atmosphere.
- The performance art depot’s stage and team. pad is an extraordinary and beautiful independent venue with a committed team, both homebase to artists Schmitt&Schulz and a platform for introducing innovative, experimental theatre, dance, performance, live art and other forms of contemporary performing arts.
- An interested and open audience. Press as well as curators and artistic directors of other festivals and theatres will be invited.
- A modest performance fee and travel expense allowance. We also take care of accommodation and catering.
We look for:
- Unusual performance projects with diverse artistic backgrounds: They may rely on light and sound or include video art, digital art, multi-media and/or be grounded in the physical, in choreography or dance.
- Productions that are adaptable to an unusual stage with basic technical standard.
- Small teams that should ideally consist of no more than five people. Please be prepared to travel via low price airlines or other low cost travel opportunities.

Applications via e-mail or post to the address below which include a brief CV or portrayal of your company, project description and DVD or online video documentation of your performance – preferably longer continuous material. Without this we can unfortunately not invite you. Please DO NOT send high-resolution photos due to our mail capacity.
Deadline for sending in applications is Friday 29th June 2018.
