Balbir Singh Dance Company (BSDC) sta cercando danzatori di alto livello per l’imminente produzione Peacock Lake, un innovativo allestimento del Lago dei cigni su ghiaccio.
Peacock Lake, in partnership col Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance, è uno spettacolo innovativo che per la prima volta mette assieme i pattini da ghiaccio con la danza contemporanea, il Kathak e i balli tradizionali con musica dal vivo in un cast di oltre 200 performers da tutto il mondo. Questo moderno allestimento sul ‘Lago dei cigni’ di Tchaikovsky è declinato secondo la tradizione folkloristica russa e indiana e pone al centro de lavoro la maestosità del pavone.
Requisiti: BSDC accoglie candidature da professionisti con forte background nella danza contemporanea e dai danzatori di Kathak con o senza capacità nel pattinaggio su ghiaccio.
Date degli spettacoli: sabato 19 e domenica 20 agosto 2017. Il calendario delle prove deve essere definito.
Si tratta di un lavoro retribuito.
Balbir Singh Dance Company: BSDC è un’organizzazione che fa parte dell’Arts Council England National Portfolio con con sede allo Yorkshire Dance, a Leeds (prima era ACE Links Scheme partner alla Royal Opera House). La compagnia crea una forma d’arte che intesse collaborazioni con lo sport, incluso il precedente lavoro Champion of the Flatlands (BMX) al Southbank’s Urban Festival, o lo spettacolo acquatico alle Synchronised Cultural Olympiad 2012 oppure la Full Contact Rugby League World Cup.

Balbir Singh Dance Company is looking for dancers for their upcoming production Peacock Lake
Balbir Singh Dance Company (BSDC) is looking for high level dancers for their upcoming production Peacock Lake, an innovative new take on Swan Lake set on ice.
Peacock Lake in partnership with Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance, is a spectacular ground-breaking show that brings together for the first time, ice skating, contemporary dance, Kathak, and traditional World dance, with live music and a cast of over 200 performers from around the world.
This modern take on Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake places the majestic peacock centre stage, as portrayed in Russian and Indian folkloric tradition.
Required skills:
BSDC welcomes applications from professional performers with a strong background in contemporary dance and also Kathak dancers, with or without ice-skating skills.
Performance dates:
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August 2017.
Rehearsal schedule to be finalised.
