Second Hand Dance collabora con danzatori, artisti e pubblico per fare lavori provocatori, gioiosi e molti visuali per gente di tute le età.
Second Hand Dance cerca attualmente danzatori per la nuova produzione The Night Tree, un adattamento dal libro omonimo di Eve Bunting. La storia esplora il bellissimo viaggio di una famiglia che va nella foresta e addobba un albero per Natale con decorazioni commestibili per gli uccelli e gli animali.
Per questa produzione si cerca un performer con tecnica contemporanea, capacità nell’ideazione, collaborativo e che abbia confidenza col canto. Avere il desiderio di lavorare in una produzione di danza per ragazzi e famiglie è essenziale. La compagnia è anche interessata a sviluppare relazioni coi danzatori per progetti futuri.

Si cercano performer (uomini e donne) con le seguenti qualità:
- eccellente capacità nell’ideazione e nell’improvvisazione e la volontà di lavorare collaborativamente
- eccellente tecnica, veloce nel generare movimento e con un occhio acuto per i dettagli
- confidenza con il canto
- confidenza con il lavoro di partnering e nel contact improvisation
- Interesse a fare spettacoli e a interagire con e per i bambini e con un pubblico di famiglie
- Interesse a collaborare con uno show che ha come cuore il mondo naturale.
Uno degli scopi della compagnia è essere inclusivi nel casting e quindi cercano candidature da diversi background e tipi fisici.
Periodo di creazione: i performer devono essere disponibili per le settimane 2-6 luglio 2018, 3 – 15 settembre 2018 , 19 novembre-7 dicembre 2018
Periodo di spettacoli : 9 – 24 dicembre 2018
Il luogo delle prove deve essere confermato. Gli spettacoli si terranno a Canterbury e a Bournemouth.
Retribuzione: £ 500 alla settimana
L’audizione si terrà a Londra il 21 maggio 2018 con call-back il 22. L’audizione è su invito con workshop di improvvisazione guidata e lavoro sulla voce.

Second Hand Dance Audition
Second Hand Dance collaborates with dancers, artists and the public to make thought provoking, joyful and highly visual dance performances for all ages.
We are currently seeking dancers for a new production, The Night Tree. The Night Tree will be an adaption of the book by the same name by Eve Bunting. The story explores the beautiful journey of a family who go into the forest and decorate a tree for Christmas with edible decorations for the birds and animals.
We are looking for 1 performer who is confident in contemporary dance technique, devising, collaborating and has a confident singing voice. A desire to work on a family dance production is essential. We are also interested in developing relationships with dancers for future projects.

We are looking for male and female performers with the following qualities:
- Excellent devising and improvisation skills and a willingness to work collaboratively
- Excellent movement technique; quick to generate movement and an eye for detail
- Confident singing voice
- Confident with partner-work and contact improvisation
- Interested in performing for and interacting with children and family audiences
- Interested in collaborating on a show with the natural world at its heart
We aim to be inclusive in our casting and are actively seeking applications from a diverse range of backgrounds and body types.
Creation Period: Performers must be available for all the following weeks 2-6 July 2018 3 – 15 September 2018 , 19 Nov – 7 December 2018
Performance Period 9 – 24 December 2018
Rehearsal locations are to be confirmed. Performances will be in Canterbury and Bournemouth.
FEES £500 per week
When: Monday 21 May with a call-back on Tuesday 22 May 2018 Invitation only audition with improvisatory tasks and voice workshop.
