Jamaal Burkmar sta cercando 4 danzatori professionisti, uomini e donne, per far parte della nuova piece Sonder. Questa coreografia è ispirata a Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows di John Koenigs e in particolare al suo neologismo ‘Sonder’.
Si richiede la disponibilità dal 30 marzo al 25 aprile. I candidati verranno informati delle date e gli orari di prove precise dopo l’audizione.
ll lavoro è finanziato e i danzatori saranno retribuiti per tutto il progetto ma l’importo verrà quantificato con precisione quando saranno confermate le date esatte di spettacoli e prove.
Questa audizione è aperta sia a professionisti che a neodiplomati.
i candidati dovrebbero avere familiarità con il precedente lavoro di Jamaal Ocean poiché la nuova creazione avrà una fisicità e intensità simile. E’ di vitale importanza che i ballerini abbiano una forte musicalità, un ritmo interno naturale e la capacità di relazionarsi con l’intenzione artistica dell’opera. Devono anche possedere un interesse genuino, essere appassionati al proprio lavoro e a quello della compagnia ed essere aperti alla creazione del materiale.

Jamaal Burkmar (UK) Male and Female. Closes: February 18, 2015
Jamaal Burkmar is looking for four professional creative dancers (both male and female) to be a part of his new piece ‘Sonder’. This dance piece is inspired by John Koenigs ‘Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows’ in particular his definition of the invented word ‘Sonder’.
If successful you will be required between the 30th of March and the 25th of April, successful applicants will be notified of exact dates and times of rehearsals sometime after the audition. This is all subject to funding but applicants will be given a fee for the entirety of the project when exact dates of shows and rehearsals are confirmed.
This audition is open to professionals and recent graduates.
Dancers should be familiar with Jamaal’s previous work Ocean as the new work will have a similar physicality and intensity. It is vital that dancers have strong musicality with a natural internal rhythm and an ability to connect with the artistic intention of the work. Dancers must also have a genuine interest and be passionate about what we are doing as a company and have an openness to creating material.
