Si cercano danzatori uomini per lavorare con Lloyd Newson, coreografo che ha spinto i confini di cosa può essere la danza per oltre 30 anni. Il suo metodo di lavoro si concentra sulla connessione tra il senso e il movimento.
Lloyd Newson attualmente cerca danzatori eccezionali per ricreare Enter Achilles. Le prove inizieranno a novembre 2019 e la tournée internazionale dal 2020. Il progetto è co-prodotto da DV8 Physical Theatre, Rambert e il Sadler’s Wells Theatre.
Si cerca una vasta gamma di candidati di differenti età e look. I candidati devono avere un inglese fluente, capacità attoriali e abilità nell’essere convincenti con il testo. E’ un vantaggio avere accento britannico. E’ necessario avere grande tecnica contemporanea ed essere interessati a comprendere la complessità del linguaggio del corpo piuttosto che riprodurre frasi di danza astratte.
Si cercano anche performer con esperienza in “aerea”. In questo caso includere un link video che dimostri queste qualità nella registrazione per l’audizione.
I candidati che saranno selezionati devono essere disponibili per due settimane di workshop (pagato) a luglio 2018.
L’audizione si terrà il 29 maggio 2018 a Londra presso il Rambert, 99 Upper Ground. Il recall si terrà il 30 maggio (dalle 10:00 alle 18:00).

Open Audition for male dancers to work with Lloyd Newson in a re-staging of DV8’s Enter Achilles
Seeking male dancers to work with world renowned choreographer Lloyd Newson.
Lloyd Newson has pushed the boundaries of what dance can be, and say, for more than 30 years. His working methods focus on the connection between meaning and movement.
Newson is currently seeking exceptional male dancers to recreate Enter Achilles. Rehearsals commence November 2019 and the production tours internationally from 2020. The project will be co-produced by DV8 Physical Theatre, Rambert and Sadler’s Wells Theatre.
We are looking for a broad range of applicants, with different ages and looks. Applicants should be fluent in English, have acting skills and the ability to deliver text convincingly. It is an advantage if you can do a British accent. You should have strong contemporary dance technique, and be more interested in understanding the intricacies of body language than reproducing abstract dance phrases.
We are also looking for performers with experience in aerial rope/corde lisse. If this is you, please include a link to video of you demonstrating these skills as part of your audition registration.
Applicants must be available for a two-week workshop period (paid) in July 2018.
Audition: Tuesday 29 May 2018. Recalls will be held on Wednesday 30 May (10am – 6pm).
