Si cercano danzatori uomini per Penguins, una nuova produzione di teatro-danza per ragazzi co-prodotta da Cahoots NI, il Birmingham Repertory Theatre e il Prime Theatre, diretta da Paul Mc Eneaney e con la coreografia di Carlos Pons Guerra. Il lavoro prevede 4 settimane di prove e produzione al Repertory Theatre di Birmingham a partire dall’8 gennaio 2018, con successiva tournée nel Regno Unito e nell’Irlanda del Nord da febbraio-marzo 2018.
Basata su una storia vera di due pinguini maschi dello zoo di New York che hanno covato un uovo e sono diventati una famiglia, questa produzione emozionante vuole introdurre i bimbi verso le famiglie diverse con tournée nel 2018 nel Regno Unito, nel Nord dell’Irlanda e all’estero.
Si cercano due ballerini con esperienza professionale di almeno tre anni, eccellente qualità contemporanea, competenze teatrale, buona capacità nel partnering, spiccata personalità e grande presenza scenica. L’esperienza nel teatro ragazzi e nel lavoro narrativo è molto gradita. Abilità acrobatiche, circensi, nella danza classica e nella recitazione sono un vantaggio ma non sono obbligatorie. Altezza preferita: a partire da 175cm.
L’audizione è solo su invito e si terrà il 24 ottobre dalle 17.00 alle 20.00 a Birmingham al Repertory Theatre, nel Regno Unito.

Audition for New Production Penguins (European Tour)
Male dancers required for Penguins, a new children’s dance theatre production coproduced by Cahoots NI, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Prime Theatre, directed by Paul Mc Eneaney and choreographed by Carlos Pons Guerra, for a 4-week creation and production period at Birmingham Repertory Theatre in starting on 8th January 2018, followed by a UK and Northern Ireland tour from February-March 2018.
Based on the true story of two male penguins in a New York City zoo that hatched an egg and became a family, this heart-warming production will introduce children to diverse families, touring the UK, Northern Ireland and abroad in 2018.
We are looking for two male dancers with a minimum of three years’ professional experience, with excellent contemporary dance and physical theatre skills, good partnering, unique personalities and warm presence. Experience in children’s theatre/dance and narrative work very welcome. Skills in acrobatics, circus, classical dance and acting a plus, but not obligatory. Preferred heights: 1.75m onwards.
