Joon Dance cerca 2 o 3 artisti di danza con esperienza per partecipare all’imminente processo di ricerca del progetto performativo Tongues.
Tongues è una performance fatta con e per giovani di età compresa tra i 14 e 21 anni che esplora il linguaggio, l’identità e le relazioni attraverso la danza e la parola parlata. Ci sarà collaborazione tra il direttore artistico Zosia Jo, la compagnia e il team, l’artista Rufus Mufasa e il compositore Christopher Young. In seguito si lavorerà intensamente con i giovani.
Il lavoro si terrà nel Galles nel periodo compreso tra il 31 luglio e il 31 agosto 2018 con possibile tournée. Tutti i componenti della Joon Dance sono equamente retribuiti inclusi il management e lo staff artistico. Ogni membro del team sarà pagato £500 alla settimana più le spese.
L’idea è di creare una performance che muta e cambia in relazione al contesto. Si cerca un cast di professionisti e performer forti con diversi background e identità. Bisogna avere una significativa formazione nella danza contemporanea; l’esperienza in spazi urbani e negli stili di danza urbana sarà un bonus. Bisogna avere esperienza e entusiasmo nel lavoro coi giovani e un certificato DBS. Infine bisogna essere a proprio agio con l’uso del testo ed eccellenti improvvisatori.

Experienced dance artists for participation and performance project in Wales.
Joon Dance is seeking 2 or 3 experienced dance artists for the upcoming research and development of Tongues.
Tongues is a performance made with and for young people aged 14-21 exploring language, identity and relationships through dance and spoken word. There will be a collaborative research week with the artistic director Zosia Jo, the professional dance team, spoken word artist Rufus Mufasa, and composer Christopher Young. Following that we work intensively with the young people.
The work will take place in Wales and the period is between July 31 and August 31 with potential for future touring. All members of Joon Dance are paid equally including management and all artistic staff. Each member of the team will be paid £500 per week plus expenses.
The idea is to create a performance that shifts and changes depending on context. We need a cast of strong professional performers with diverse backgrounds and identities. You must have significant training in contemporary dance technique; experience in urban dance styles is a bonus. You must have experience in/enthusiasm for working with young people and a clear DBS certificate. You must be comfortable using text and be an excellent improviser.
