Il danzatore e dance maker Hayley Matthews cerca 4 performers – tre danzatori e un musicista – per prove e produzione di Still in the City che si svolgerà a Norfolk (UK) a settembre 2016. Inoltre tre studenti avranno l’opportunità di integrare la compagnia per un giorno.
Still in the City è un lavoro di danza interattivo e improvvisato di Hayley Matthews. Affronta l’isolamento, la velocità, il disorientante effetto dello spazio urbano a fianco a momenti di silenzio, live music, dance composition e include anche un invito al pubblico a prenderne parte.
Lo spettacolo coinvolgerà sei genitori locali, e un duo di bambini nei primi anni di vita, che prenderanno parte al processo creativo e alla performance al Norwich Puppet Theatre dove Matthews e la compagnia staranno provando per imparare e integrare nel lavoro creativo i movimenti semplici dei bambini piccoli. Altre performances saranno aperte ai genitori e a un pubblico di bambini piccoli.
Lo spettacolo sarà in tournée al Norwich Puppet Theatre, Sheringham Little Theatre e in altro luogo nel Norfolk (che verrà comunicato); in aggiunta ulteriori 5 performances saranno realizzate in partnership col Norfolk Library Service.
Prove: dal 5 all’8 e dal 12 al 16 settembre 2016. Performances: sabato 17 e sabato 24 settembre 2016 e una che verrà comunicata. Altre performances : dal 19 al 23 settembre 2016.
Per candidarsi mandare entro l’8 agosto 2016 a hayleyjmatthews@hotmail.co.uk curriculum vitae e showreel o footage in cui danzate e uno scritto (non più di una pagina A4) specificando le esperienze, la capacità di improvvisazione, perché vorreste prendere parte a questa produzione e come vi relazionate al significato e contesto di Still in the City Dancing in Urban Space.
Le audizioni si terranno il 13 e il 20 agosto 2016 al Dove Street Studios, Norwich, UK (uno scambio on-line può essere organizzato al posto di un’audizione per i candidati d’oltremare).
Stipendio pieno in linea con le paghe correnti. Gli studenti avranno le spese pagate per i loro giorni con la compagnia.

Hayley Matthews Audition
Dancer and Dance Maker Hayley Matthews seeks four performers – three dancers and one musician for research and production of Still in the City, taking place in Norfolk, UK in September 2016. Three students will also have the chance to join the company for one day.

Still in the City is an improvised and interactive contemporary dance work by dancer and dance maker Hayley Matthews. It addresses the isolation, speed and disorienting affects of urban space with moments of stillness, live music and dance composition, and includes an invitation to the audience to take part.
The show will be recruiting six local parent and early years duos to be part of the making, research and performance at Norwich Puppet Theatre where Matthews and the company will be researching how we can learn from and integrate the honest movements of early years children and create a landscape for engagement within the work. Other performances and outreach will open the work to parents and early years children as audience.
The show will be touring to Norwich Puppet Theatre, Sheringham Little Theatre and one other venue in Norfolk tbc, plus five outreach performances in partnership with the Norfolk Library Service in Great Yarmouth, Poringland, Gaywood Library – King’s Lynn, Norwich and Acle.
Rehearsals will be 5-8 and 12-16 September 2016. Performances on Saturday 17 and Saturday 24 September 2016 and one more tbc. Outreach performances 19-23 September 2016.

Auditions will take place on either 13 or 20 August 2016 at Dove Street Studios, Norwich, UK. An online exchange can be arranged in place of an audition for overseas applicants.
Full fees, in line with company rates. Students will receive expenses paid for their day with the company.
