L’acclamato coreografo Gary Clarke cerca 2 danzatrici da integrare alla Gary Clarke Company per la creazione e l’anteprima del suo nuovo lavoro Wasteland.
L’audizione si terrà a Londra, il 17 febbraio 2018
Wasteland è l’attesissimo sequel della pluripremiata produzione COAL e stavolta tratta della relazione tra il carbone e i bambini e la loro ricerca nella cultura rave illegale degli anni ’90. Questa entusiasmante nuova produzione riunirà un cast di ballerini professionisti, un coro di comunità e un musicista di ottoni live oltre al team produttivo.

Creazione e anteprima
La creazione di Wasteland si terrà in vari luoghi dello Yorkshire.
L’anteprima di Wasteland si terrà al CAST Theatre a Doncaster.
Una diaria per l’alloggio sarà fornita agli artisti che non hanno base nello Yorkshire.
Date
Creazione blocco 1 – dal 9 al 27 aprile 2018 (3 settimane)
Creazione blocco 2 – dal 30 maggio al 29 giugno 2018 (4 settimane) (no i gg 12 e 13 giugno)
Weekend – 16, 17, 23 e 24 giugno 2018 (4 giorni)
Anteprima – 29 giugno 2018
Le candidate devono specificare nella loro domanda se hanno qualche problema nelle date indicate così che la compagnia possa essere flessibile in relazione alle circostanze individuali.
Retribuzione: £ 500 alla settimana per 7 settimane di ingaggio (£ 3500) più ferie pagate, viaggi, sistemazione, indennità e diaria coperte. Gary Clarke propone contratti che seguono le ITC / Equity Agreements e ha un accordo con House Agreement with Equity.
L’audizione è solo su invito e le candidate devono dimostrare:
Esperienza, socialità e professionalità nei dance club, tecnica contemporanea molto forte, grande fisicità e capacità teatrale, buon livello di fitness, esperienza nel lavoro molto fisico, buona capacità nel partnering e nel contact, buona capacità nell’improvvisazione e buona creatività, buona musicalità, confidenza nel lavoro col testo, e abilità nel connettersi con un lavoro emotivamente guidato, volontà ed apertura a collaborare con la comunità di non-danzatori, buona attitudine sul lavoro, buono sense of humour, abilità nel collaborare in team e nel saper lavorare sotto pressione, confidenza ed esperienza nella pedagogia e nell’insegnamento.
I neodiplomati sono incoraggiati a candidarsi.

Gary Clarke Audition
Acclaimed choreographer Gary Clarke requires 2 female dancers to join Gary Clarke Company for the creation and preview of his new mid-scale dance theatre production Wasteland.

Wasteland is the eagerly anticipated sequel to the multi-award winning production COAL and takes a close look at what happened to the children of the coal fields in their search for purpose and existence in the illegal rave culture of the 1990’s. This thrilling new production will bring together a cast of professional dancers, a live community choir, a live brass musician and a strong light, design, sound and production team.

Creation and Preview
The creation of Wasteland will take place at various venues in Yorkshire.
The preview of Wasteland will take place at CAST Theatre in Doncaster.
A living allowance for accommodation will be provided for non Yorkshire based artists.
Dates
Creation Block 1 – 9th to 27th April (3 weeks)
Creation Block 2 – 30th May to 29th June (4 weeks) (not needed 12th and 13th June)
Weekends -16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th June (4 days)
Preview – 29th June
Applicants should state in their application if there are any issues with any of the dates or details listed as the company can be flexible depending on individual circumstances.
Fee
£500 per week x 7 weeks engagement (£3500) PLUS holiday pay, travel, accommodation allowance and per diems covered. Gary Clarke contracts performers using ITC / Equity Agreements and has a House Agreement with Equity.
Audition is by invitation ONLY and interested applicants should demonstrate:
Some experience, socially or professionally in rave / club dance, a very strong contemporary dance technique, strong physical theatre skills, a high level of confidence, a good fitness level, experience in highly physical work, good contact and partnering skills, good improvisation and creative skills, good musicality, confidence in text work, the ability to connect with very emotionally driven work, a willingness and openness to work with the community / non-dancers, a good working attitude, a good sense of humour, the ability to collaborate and work well as a team, the ability to work well under pressure, confidence and experience in delivering education and outreach work, a full CRB check.
