Fernando Hernando Magadan cerca un danzatore e una danzatrice apprendisti con buona base classica, grande abilità fisica e capacità attoriali per il suo prossimo lavoro a serata intera.
La nuova produzione di Fernando Hernando Magadan, Bending the Walls, è della Korzo productions in co-produzione con il Nederlands Dans Theater e debutterà a marzo 2018 con una successiva piccola tourné.
L’audizione si terrà il 14 maggio 2017 alle ore 12:00 presso il Korzo theatre a Den Haag (L’Aia), in Olanda.
Periodi lavorativi: dal 27 novembre al 9 dicembre 2017 per la ricerca; dal 3 febbraio al 14 marzo 2018 per la creazione; tournée olandese tra aprile e maggio 2018.

Fernando Hernando Magadan
Il coreografo spagnolo Fernando Hernando Magadan ha danzato col Nederlands Dans Theater per 15 anni. Il suo stile è notevolmente fisico e nelle sue creazioni ci sono spesso significativi elementi teatrali.
Egli ha creato molti lavori inclusi pezzi per il NDT 1 e 2, la Curve Foundation Dance Company (Scozia), il Luna Negra Dance Theater (Chicago), la Cross Connection Ballet Company (Copenhagen), il Ballet Mainz (Germania), la Donlon Dance Company (Saarbrücken), la Arts Umbrella Dance Company e il Ballet BC (Vancouver), oltre alla Korzo productions (Den Haag). Ha inoltre coreografato per spettacoli multidisciplinari a Londra nel 2012.

Pensando a come il desiderio di essere felici sia anche una necessità, una strategia di protezione e di sopravvivenza, questa nuova performance Bending the Walls è ispirata al coraggio e alla resilienza che la gente mostra quando è sotto pressione o in condizioni estreme che consente di trascendere la realtà e di fuggire in un mondo immaginario. La danza diventa una metafora per la forza psicologica, fisica ed emotiva che ci aiuta a sopportare le pressioni della vita e continuare la nostra incessante ricerca di felicità.

Fernando Hernando Magadan Audition
Fernando Hernando Magadan is seeking one male and one female apprentice with a good classical ballet base, a strong physical ability, and confident acting skills required for the creation of a full evening work.
Fernando Hernando Magadan’s new creation, Bending the Walls, is produced by Korzo productions in coproduction with Nederlands Dans Theater, and to be premiered in March 2018 with a small tour to follow.

About Fernando Hernando Magadan
Spanish choreographer Fernando Hernando Magadan, performed with Nederlands Dans Theater for 15 years. His movement style is considerably physical and there is most often a significant theatrical element to his creations.
He has created several works including pieces for NDT 1 and 2, the Curve Foundation Dance Company (Scotland), Luna Negra Dance Theater (Chicago), Cross Connection Ballet Company (Copenhagen), Ballet Mainz (Germany), Donlon Dance Company (Saarbrücken), Arts Umbrella Dance Company and Ballet BC (Vancouver), and Korzo productions (The Hague). He also choreographed a multidisciplinary show, Nierka, with visual designer Tupac Martir, which premiered in London in 2012.

Inspired by how the human desire for happiness can also be a necessity, a strategy for protection and even survival, this new performance Bending the Walls is inspired by the incredible courage and resilience that people show under extreme pressure, and which enables them to transcend the reality and escape into a world of imagination. Dance becomes a metaphor for the psychological, physical and emotional forces that we can address to withstand the pressures of life and continue our incessant quest for happiness.
