La Exim Dance Company con sede a Plymouth, nel Devon, nel Regno Unito, cerca 3 danzatori professionisti e un apprendista (2 uomini, 2 donne) per l’imminente periodo di ricerca tra il 19 febbraio e il 16 marzo 2018 (4 settimane). Si prega di notare che il progetto è soggetto a esito positivo di finanziamento. L’audizione, il workshop e la coreografia saranno a firma di Adam Benjamin.

Il lavoro della Exim è stato inclusivo fin dalla sua fondazione nel 2011. Dopo aver fatto in passato due tournée, con successo, supportate dall’Arts Council questa sarà la loro più ambiziosa tournée.

Exim è una compagnia di danza inclusiva che accoglie audizioni da tutti i ballerini professionisti; sono particolarmente apprezzati i ballerini con ottima capacità nell’improvvisazione e nel contact, che siano sicuri col testo e la voce, disposti a esplorare i tasks dati dal coreografo. Si accettano anche candidati neo-diplomati di danza e teatro.

Coreografo incaricato per il lavoro è Adam Benjamin, già co-fondatore direttore artistico della CandoCo Dance Company e pioniere della danza di integrazione Ha lavorato con compagnie come Vertigo, Scottish Dance Theatre e StopGap. Per lungo tempo ‘improviser’ e membro fondatore di ‘Five Men Dancing’, ha lavorato con Kirstie Simson, Rick Nodine, Kim Itoh, Jordi Cortés e Russell Maliphant. E’ stato artista associato al The Place, al Wingate Scholar and Rayne Fellow ed è stato premiato da International Arts Council Fellowship e da National teaching Fellowship. Il suo maggior lavoro recente è Open State per la Kyo-company con sede a Tokyo.

Requisiti per i candidati: Stile unico, esperienza professionale, affidabilità e motivazione come elementi vitali, così come la pratica inclusiva.

Questo è un lavoro retribuito come free-lance con paga di £500 alla settimana; tutte le prove si terranno a Plymouth.

Exim Dance Company Audition

Exim Dance Company based in Plymouth, Devon is seeking 3 professional dancers and one understudy (2 males, 2 females) for their upcoming Research and Development Period between 19th February – 16th March (4 weeks) Please note this is subject to successful funding. The audition workshops and choreography will be delivered by Adam Benjamin.

Exim’s work has been inclusive since its founding in 2011. After having successfully toured two Arts Council tours in the past this will be our most ambitious tour to date.

Exim is an inclusive dance company we welcome auditions from all professional dancers; We are especially keen to hear from dancers with excellent improvisation and contact skills. Confident with text and voice. You must be willing to explore creative tasks set by the chorographer. We also welcome applicants from recent dance and theatre graduates.

Choreographer commissioned for the work: Adam Benjamin was joint founder and artistic director of CandoCo Dance Company and a pioneer of integrated dance, working with companies such as Vertigo, Scottish Dance Theatre and StopGap. A long time improviser and a founder member of ‘Five Men Dancing’, he has performed and taught with Kirstie Simson, Rick Nodine, Kim Itoh, Jordi Cortés and Russell Maliphant. He has been an associate artist at the Place, a Wingate Scholar and Rayne Fellow and has been awarded International Arts Council Fellowship and a National teaching Fellowship. His most recent work was Open State for Tokyo based Kyo-company.

A unique performance style, professional performance experience, reliability and motivation are vital, as is a dedication to inclusive practice.

This is a paid freelance position at the rate of £500 per week; All rehearsal periods will take place in Plymouth.
