Per l’imminente produzione, l’ultima parte della trilogia col titolo provvisorio di interlace, Eva Baumann cerca 1 danzatore, uomo o donna, da integrare al team artistico.
interlace è una performance in site -specific di lunga durata ispirata all’artista Anni Albers, che fu una delle più importanti artiste del Bauhaus. La performance tratta, letteralmente e metaforicamente, di materiali diversi. Sarà un duo eseguito e creato da Eva Baumann e dal danzatore/danzatrice selezionato tramite questa audizione. La coreografia si svilupperà attraverso un dialogo tra il corpo e gli oggetti dell’installazione costruiti dall’architetto e artista visiva Anna Kubelik e dalla musica del sound artist Michael Tuttle. Gli spettatori cammineranno o si siederanno durante le 6 ore di esibizione, potendo entrare e uscire quando vogliono.
Il debutto di interlace sarà al Landesmuseum di Stoccarda. Ulteriori spettacoli altrove sono previsti per il 2020.
Date:
- Prove (in totale approssimativamente 7 settimane full-time); dal 20 al 29 luglio 2019 a Berlino; dal 5 al 18 agosto 2019 a Stoccarda; dal 2 al 20 settembre 2019 a Berlino; dal 30 settembre al 2 ottobre 2019 a Berlino; dal 9 al 13 ottobre 2019 a Stoccarda
- Allestimento tecnico e prova generale 2 giorni e spettacoli 5 giorni: dal 14 al 20 ottobre 2019 a Stoccarda.
Requisiti:
- almeno 7 anni di esperienza lavorativa;
- tecnica versatile; versatilità negli stili; obbligatorio avere esperienza nel movement research;
- capacità nel partnering e musicalità
- creatività e curiosità per contribuire al processo creativo
- resistenza fisica per riuscire a “performare” per 6 ore mantenendo intatta la presenza scenica;
- disponibilità per tutte le date di prove e spettacolo;
- preferibilmente con sede a Berlino.
Si offrono
- 8 settimane di contratto retribuito secondo il minimo suggerito dal CCN nazionale per gli artisti delle performing arts in Germania.
- Spese di viaggio coperte e sistemazione fornita a Stoccarda (ma purtroppo non a Berlino)
- Collaborazione e scambio col team creativo.

Eva Baumann is looking for one dancer
For the upcoming production, the last part of the trilogy of herstory with the working title interlace, we are looking for 1 dancer (male or female) to join the artistic team.
About the project
interlace is a site -specific long durational performance that is inspired by the weaving artist Anni Albers, that was one of the most important female artists at the Bauhaus. She is known as the “philosopher of the art of weaving” and a selection of her writings and notebook sketches will be a source to draw from. The performance deals with threads – literally as well as metaphorically – made of different materials. It will be a duo performed and created by Eva Baumann and the person we are looking for. The choreography will develop through a dialogue of the body with installation objects that will be built by the architect and visual artist Anna Kubelik and music by sound artist Michael Tuttle. The audience will be walking and sitting around during the 6 hours long performance, coming and leaving whenever they want.
interlace will premier at the Landesmuseum in Stuttgart. Further performances at other venues are planned for 2020.
Dates
Rehearsals (in total approx. 7 weeks, full-time)
July 20th till 29th, Berlin / August 5th till 18th, Stuttgart / September 2nd till 20th, Berlin / September 30th till October 2nd, Berlin / October 9th till 13th, Stuttgart
Technical Set-up/general rehearsal (2 days) and performances (5 days): October 14th till 20th, Stuttgart
Profile
At least 7 years working experience
Versatile dance technique/ style and experience in movement research is mandatory
Partnering skills, musicality
Creativity and curiosity to contribute to the artistic process
Physical endurance to perform 6 hours in a row whilst maintaining stage presence
Available for all rehearsals and performances
Preferably based in Berlin
What we offer
8 week contract paid following the guidelines of the suggested minimum fee for performing artists in Germany
Travel and accommodation in Stuttgart (note: unfortunately not in Berlin)
Collaboration and exchange with a creative team
