Il DeNada Dance Theatre – direttore artistico Carlos Pons Guerra – cerca danzatori di tutte le definizioni di genere per la tournée internazionale del 2023 della sua produzione familiare, The Bull and the Moon.
La compagnia cerca due danzatori con carisma, grandi capacità interpretative, forte musicalità, carattere e teatralità per la tournée della produzione nei teatri, all’aperto e in spazi non convenzionali.
The Bull and the Moon è una produzione per giovani dai 3 anni in su che racconta la storia di Lolo, un piccolo toro a cui non piace giocare sporco e che è terrorizzato dalle corride. Invece, ispirato dalla Luna danzante, sogna di diventare Lola: una famosa mucca che balla il flamenco. L’opera promuove la diversità di genere e sostiene in particolare i giovani che si identificano come trans o non-binari e le loro famiglie. Diretto da Carlos Pons Guerra, lo spettacolo, con le coreografie di Pons Guerra e dell’artista di flamenco Ana Garcia, è una produzione di teatrodanza completa che fonde danza contemporanea, flamenco e teatro d’oggetti.
La compagnia cerca due nuovi danzatori che si uniscano all’attuale cast a causa della richiesta di tournée, per imparare la produzione, esibirsi in tournée e tenere laboratori per giovani e adulti attraverso i quali promuovere la diversità di genere e l’inclusione. I candidati ideali sono generosi, carismatici, altamente teatrali e musicali. L’esperienza nel flamenco, nella danza irlandese, nella danza dell’Asia meridionale, nel tip tap o in altre abilità percussive costituirà un vantaggio, ma non è necessaria, così come l’esperienza nel lip synching, nel drag e nell’esecuzione di lavori per un pubblico giovane. Anche l’esperienza didattica è un plus, ma i ballerini saranno formati per la realizzazione dei laboratori.

Compensi:
I contratti seguono le linee guida di Equity/ITC più la retribuzione di ferie e riposi. Tutti i viaggi e gli alloggi saranno forniti dalla compagnia, ove necessario.
Tutti i candidati devono risiedere nel Regno Unito e avere il diritto di lavorare nel Regno Unito.
The Bull and the Moon è prodotto da Spin Arts ed è stato commissionato da Bradford Producing Hub, FABRIC, l’Istituto Canario per lo Sviluppo Culturale e l’Auditorium di Tenerife. La tournée nazionale è gentilmente finanziata dall’Arts Council England, con l’ulteriore sostegno di Kala Sangam.

DeNada Dance Theatre Audition
DeNada Dance Theatre- artistic director Carlos Pons Guerra – is seeking dancers of all gender definitions for the 2023 international tour of its family production, The Bull and the Moon.
We are looking for two dancers with charisma, great performance skills, strong musicality, character and theatricality to join our company as we tour the production to theatres, outdoor, and unconventional spaces.
The Bull and the Moon is a production for young people aged 3+ that tells the story of Lolo, a little bull that does not like playing rough and is terrified of bullfights. Instead, inspired by the dancing Moon, they dream of becoming Lola: a famous flamenco dancing cow. The work promotes gender diversity and more specifically supports young people who identify as trans or non-binary and their families. Directed by Carlos Pons Guerra, it has been co-choreographed by Pons Guerra and flamenco artist Ana Garcia, and is a full length dance theatre production blending contemporary dance, flamenco and object theatre.
We are looking for two new dancers to join our current cast due to touring demand, to learn the production, perform on tour and deliver workshops to young people and adults through which to promote gender diversity and inclusion. Our ideal candidates will be generous, charismatic, highly theatrical and musical. Experience in flamenco, Irish dance, South Asian dance, tap or other percussive skills will be a bonus, but not necessary, as are experience in lip synching, drag, and performing work for young audiences. Educational experience also a plus, but dancers will be trained in the delivery of our workshops.

Fees:
Our contracts follow Equity/ ITC guidelines plus holiday/rest pay. All travel and accommodation will be provided by the company where needed.
All applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
The Bull and the Moon is produced by Spin Arts and was commissioned by Bradford Producing Hub, FABRIC, the Canarian Institute for Cultural Development and Tenerife Auditorium. Its national tour is kindly funded by Arts Council England, with further support from Kala Sangam.
