Il Danish Dance Theatre cerca ballerini per la stagione 2023-2024.
Il Danish Dance Theatre è stato fondato nel 1981 ed è la principale compagnia di danza contemporanea in Danimarca, nonché la più grande. Dal 2018, il coreografo e regista Pontus Lidberg è il direttore artistico della compagnia, e la sta portando con decisione verso il futuro. Nel 2021, la compagnia ha lanciato il suo Virtual Stage, incentrato su contenuti creati esclusivamente per gli schermi, che vanno da brevi film d’arte a trasmissioni e flussi in diretta.
La compagnia è composta da dieci danzatori provenienti da tutto il mondo. Il repertorio spazia da grandi produzioni sul palcoscenico del Royal Danish Theatre a produzioni intime in luoghi più piccoli, fino a eventi all’aperto come la Copenhagen Summer Dance nel mezzo del porto di Copenhagen. Il Danish Dance Theatre effettua numerose tournée, sia in Danimarca che a livello internazionale. La compagnia riceve finanziamenti dal Ministero della Cultura. Inoltre, i singoli spettacoli ricevono il sostegno di fondazioni private e pubbliche.
L’audizione è solo su invito e si terrà sabato 11 febbraio 2023 con eventuale call back domenica 12 febbraio 2023 a Copenhagen, in Danimarca presso il Danish Dance Theatre c/o Operaen, Ekvipagemestervej 10.
Per candidarvi all’audizione è necessario compilare entro l’11 dicembre 2023 il modulo online disponibile cliccando QUI.
Vi verrà richiesto di caricare un video composto da tre sequenze di danza distinte.
Di seguito troverete due video con le sequenze di danza che dovrete imparare.
Completate tutti i passaggi seguenti:
1. Imparare e registrarsi ballando entrambe le sequenze di danza disponibili sul sito .
2. Registrare fino a un minuto di improvvisazione a scelta.
3. Montare tutte e tre le registrazioni insieme.
4. Caricare il video su Vimeo.
Se si tratta di un video privato, ricordarsi di contrassegnarlo come “Non elencato” in modo da potervi accedere. Non sono ammesse password.
Non sono accettati altri formati o piattaforme.
Se il vostro video verrà selezionato, entro il 23 dicembre 2022 sarete invitati all’audizione dell’11 febbraio 2023 e riceverete ulteriori informazioni.

Danish Dance Theatre Audition
Danish Dance Theatre is looking for dancers for the 2023-2024 season.
Danish Dance Theatre was founded in 1981 and is the foremost contemporary dance company in Denmark, as well as the largest. Since 2018, choreographer and filmmaker Pontus Lidberg has been the company’s Artistic Director, bringing the company firmly into the future. In 2021, the company launched its Virtual Stage, focusing on content created exclusively for screens, ranging from short art films to broadcasts and live streams.
The company is composed of ten dancers from all over the world. The repertoire spans large stage productions at The Royal Danish Theatre and intimate productions at smaller venues, as well as open-air events such as Copenhagen Summer Dance in the middle of Copenhagen Harbour. Danish Dance Theatre tours extensively, both in Denmark and internationally. The company receives funding from the Ministry of Culture. In addition, individual performances receive support from private and public foundations.

HOW TO APPLY
You will be required to upload one video consisting of three separate dance sequences.
Further down you will find two videos with the dance sequences you will need to learn.
Please complete all of the following steps:
- Learn and record yourself dancing both sequences.
- Record up to one minute of improvisation of your choice.
- Edit all three recordings together.
- Upload your video to Vimeo.
- If it is a private video, remember to mark it as ‘Unlisted’ so we can access it. No passwords please.
- Other formats or platforms cannot be accepted.

If you are selected from your video, you will be invited to our audition on February 11.

Deadline for submission: December 11, 2022
If you are selected, we will send an invitation via email with further information by December 23, 2022.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
