Daniel Phung cerca due danzatori e una danzatrice per la nuova creazione della Company Nil dal titolo Blowin In The Wind. Prove e spettacoli in gennaio e febbraio 2019 (progetto soggetto a finanziamento).
La Company Nil offre un contratto di 3 settimane a danzatori e danzatrici professionisti molto capaci e creativi con esperienza e/o interesse ad esplorare l’identità, la mascolinità e che hanno un approccio generoso verso il lavoro collaborativo. Blowin In The Wind è un progetto sul tema della mascolinità e di come possa essere vista.
Sono particolarmente interessati a danzatori che hanno grande esperienza nel floor-work, nell’improvvisazione, nel contact/partnering e con lavoro sul personaggio. Altri interessi (non-essenziali) sono: capacità di ideazione e apprendimento del testo, capacità a suonare uno strumento o cantare, e avere influenze di stili quali l’Hip-Hop.
Date del progetto:
- settimana 1: dal 7 al 12 gennaio 2019.
- settimana 2: 14, 16, 18 e 19 gennaio 2019.
- settimana 3: dal 21 al 25 gennaio.
- Performance: 26 gennaio + altre due date a febbraio e marzo (le date esatte verranno comunicate durante l’audizione).
L’audizione è solo su invito e si terrà il 17 dicembre 2018 presso lo Yorkshire Dance a Leeds, nel Regno Unito.

Gli artisti BAME (“Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic” ovvero neri, asiatici e etnie in minoranza) sono incoraggiati a candidarsi ma non è essenziale.
Si tratta di un lavoro retribuito (secondo le ‘equity/itc minimum’) e le spese di viaggio sono coperte. Non verrà fornito l’alloggio.

Daniel Phung is looking for 3 professional dancers (1 Female and 2 Males) for Company Nil’s new creation Blowin In The Wind. Rehearsals and performances in Jan/Feb 2019 (SUBJECT TO FUNDING).
Company Nil are offering a 3-week contract for highly skilled and creative professional dancers with an experience/interest in exploring identity, masculinity and have a generous approach to working collaboratively. Blowin In The Wind is a project that revolves around masculinity and how it can be seen as a more fluid construct.
We are particularly interested in dancers that are highly-experienced in floor-work, improvisation, contact/partner-work and character-work. Other interests (non-essential) are; devising and delivering text, able to play an instrument/sing, influenced by Hip-Hop dance styles.
Project dates:
- Week 1: 7th-12th January 2019.
- Week 2: 14th, 16th, 18th and 19th January 2019.
- Week 3: 21st-25th January.
- Performances: 26th January + Two other performance dates in February and March (TBC – will be informed during the audition).
When: Auditions will be held on Monday 17th December 2018, in and will be invitation only.
