Established International Dance Artist e il coreografo emergente Johnny Autin è alla ricerca di versatili e capaci performers di teatrodanza (uomini e donne, danzatori e attori; sono particolarmente bene accolte le candidature da danzatori neri o del Sud Asiatico) da integrare alla compagnia professionale Autin Dance Theatre, basata a Birmingham, nel Regno Unito, per l’imminente progetto A Positive Life.

L’audizione si terrà a Birmingham, sabato 18 e domenica 19 giugno 2016.

A Positive Life è una piece di teatrodanza finalizzata ai teenagers e a giovani adulti, intorno al tema dell’educazione sessuale sotto vari aspetti. La creazione vorrebbe impegnare e sfidare i giovani, nella mentalità e nel comportamento, relativamente alla loro sessualità così come indagare l’impatto del teatro fisico e il potere della performance live.

Autin DT sta cercando eccezionali performers di danza e di teatro fisico, ed eccezionali attori che sappiano muoversi, idealmente basati nelle Midlands, per lavorare nella fase di ricerca e sviluppo del lavoro con il direttore creativo Johnny Autin per circa 3-5 settimane (la durata dipende dal finanziamento). Questo lavoro comporterà creazione ed elaborazione in sala prove, così come lavorare in un contesto di comunità per la formazione dei giovani. Saranno organizzati dei workshops, verranno presentati estratti del lavoro e di seguito sessioni di confronto con giovani dai più svariati background.

Questa è un’opportunità retribuita e il numero dei danzatori e la durata del contratto è soggetta ai finanziamenti.

Si cercano performers altamente creativi, tecnici e con forte individualità interessati a intraprendere un intenso viaggio con la Autin DT.

• settimana 2 – dal 25 al 30 luglio 2016 al MAC Birmingham
• settimana 3 – dal 5 al 10 settembre 2016 al MAC Birmingham
• Possibilità di ulteriore lavoro soggetta a sovvenzioni e prevediamo lavoro a seguire per il seguente anno (da settembre).

L’audizione si terrà sotto forma di workshop aperto e si svolgerà  sabato 18 e domenica 19 giugno 2016, dalle ore 10.00 alle 18.00, a Birmingham, il luogo verrà comunicato.

Autin Dance Theatre Audition (UK)

Established International Dance Artist and emerging choreographer Johnny Autin is looking for versatile and skilled dance theatre performers (male and female, dancers and actors, and we particularly welcome applications from dancers of Black, South Asian and white British heritage) to join the Birmingham-based professional company Autin Dance Theatre for our upcoming project A Positive Life.

A Positive Life is an immersive dance theatre experience aimed at teenagers and young adults, around the themes of sex education, self love, health and wellbeing. The work aims to inspire, engage and challenge young people’s mindsets and behaviours around their sexual health as well as investigating the impact of the physical theatre art form and the power of immersive live performances.

Autin DT is seeking exceptional performers in dance and physical theatre, and exceptional actors that are keen movers, ideally based in The Midlands, to work with Creative Director Johnny Autin through 3-5 weeks (funding dependent) of Research and Development. This will include creating and devising in the studio, as well as working in educational and community context’s with young people, where workshops will be delivered, extracts of the work will be performed and consultation will take place with young people from a range of different backgrounds.

This is a paid opportunity, and number of dancers/length of contracts are subject to funding. We are looking for highly creative, technical and strong individual performers interested in embarking on an intense, fun, personal and creative journey with Autin DT.

Dates: (Confirmed with Venues – subject to funding):

• Week 1 – 7th & 8th, 11th – 13th July 2016 at DanceXchange, Birmingham
• Week 2 – 25th – 30th July 2016 at mac birmingham
• Week 3 – 5th – 10th September 2016 at mac birmingham
• Possibility of further work subject to funding. We envision more work for performers to follow in the following year (from Sept onwards).
