L’Autin Dance Theatre, con sede a Birmingham, cerca performers di teatrodanza e parola per la creazione di Queer Words, un’audace, provocatoria e multi-disciplinare performance sui temi degli ideali insani e sulla crisi della mascolinità.
L’audizione si terrà a Birmingham, nel Regno Unito il 30 e 31 marzo 2018 con call back il 2 e 3 aprile 2018.
La compagnia è particolarmente interessata a performer con esperienza, che abbiano sede a Birmingham/West Midlands, che si identifichino come LGBTQ e che abbiano interesse o esperienza nella Queer Art. Si cercano individui forti, molto creativi, versatili, capaci e con interesse ad imbarcarsi in un nuovo viaggio con la compagnia. I candidati devono dimostrare grande tecnica nel teatrodanza, e nel lavoro di partnering, nell’improvvisazione e abilità di ideazione. E’ gradito anche esser un buon giocatore di squadra e avere senso dell’umorismo.
Il periodo di lavoro si terrà a Birmingham (UK) e Queer Words sarà presentato all’Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018. Si tratta di un lavoro retribuito. Il progetto è supportato dall’Arts Council England ed è uno dei primi Dance Hub Birmingham’s Artistic Commissions.
Per candidarsi mandare entro le ore 18:00 del 26 marzo 2018 statement con espressione di interesse descrivendo la propria pratica e perché si vorrebbe far parte di questo progetto, oltre al proprio curriculum vitae, foto ritratto e breve video a audition@autindt.com. Si prega di indicare nella lettera di presentazione se si hanno capacità nella performance dal vivo o altre abilità (tipo canto, arti marziali, percussioni, circo, etc.). La partecipazione all’audizione è solo su invito.

Autin Dance Theatre Audition
Autin Dance Theatre (Birmingham) is looking for exceptional performers in dance theatre and spoken word for the creation of Queer Words, a bold, provocative, and multi-disciplinary performance around the themes of toxic ideals and the crisis of masculinity.

We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced performers based in Birmingham/West Midlands, who identify as LGBTQ, and have an interest/experience in Queer Art. We are looking for highly creative, versatile, skilled and strong individual performers interested in embarking on a new creative journey with the company. Applicants should demonstrate strong dance theatre technique, partner work, improvisational, and devising skills. Team players with a sense of humour welcome!

The R&D and creation period will take place in Birmingham (UK) and ‘Queer Words’ will be presented at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018. This is a paid opportunity. This project is supported by Arts Council England and is one of Dance Hub Birmingham’s first Artistic Commissions.
