Dansearena Nord ad Hammerfest, in Norvegia offre a coreografi, ballerini e a coloro che lavorano con la danza e il movimento la possibilità di candidarsi per Artist in Residence.
Durante una residenza si avrà accesso allo studio completamente attrezzato che misura m. 16 x 10 x 4 metri. Ci sono luci di scena, il PVC, una parete a specchio e una grande parete finestra verso il centro del porto e della città. Le finestre possono essere oscurate.
La casa di residenza si trova vicino al centro della città, a circa. cinque minuti a piedi dal centro culturale. Ci sono quattro camere da letto e tutti i comfort moderni, tra cui la connessione internet gratuita. La casa ha una splendida vista sul porto.
Dansearena nord copre i costi di viaggio in Norvegia e diaria (NOK 195 per Persona al giorno) durante il soggiorno per un massimo di quattro persone. I costi per le persone extra devono essere coperti dal gruppo.
La durata del soggiorno è di solito circa 20 giorni. Se avete bisogno di un soggiorno più lungo, questo deve essere specificato nella domanda. Chiediamo a tutti i nostri artisti in residenza di dare la possibilità di uno sharing pubblico ala fine del soggiorno.
Accettiamo progetti di danza e movimento all’interno di una vasta scala. Progetti di laboratorio o quasi finiti possono essere accettati. Nella candidatura è importante scrivere come si svilupperà il progetto durante la residenza.
Se avete esigenze o desideri specifici vanno specificati nella candidatura.
Se avete intenzione di finire il lavoro durante la residenza potremmo essere in grado di offrire accesso al teatro nel Centro Culturale per la première.
Si prega di notare che da fine aprile / inizio maggio stiamo accettando solo i progetti con i bambini come target di riferimento. Ciò è dovuto a una festa dei bambini in Hammerfest 9 maggio 2015 in cui gli artisti in residenza hanno la possibilità di esibirsi per i bambini nella fascia d’età tra 0-14.
Puntiamo ad avere artisti in residenza di diverso background ed espressione. Nell’arco di un anno ci sforziamo di avere sia giovani che artisti “stabili” e sia sperimentazione che i progetti in tutte le fasi della produzione dalle prime prove al debutto. La nostra attività è molto conosciuta, e abbiamo ricevuto circa 150 domande all’anno provenienti da tutto il mondo. Anche se diamo agli artisti norvegesi la priorità, noi accogliamo anche candidati internazionali e ne accettiamo alcuni ogni anno.

Artist in Residence
Dansearena nord in Hammerfest, Norway is offering choreographers, dancers and others working with dance and movement the possibility to apply for Artist in Residence.
During a residency you will have access to our fully equipped dance studio 24-7. The studio measures 16 x 10 x4 meters. There is a PA, working and stage lights, mirror wall, dance mats, and a large window wall towards the harbor and city center. The windows may be blinded.
Our residency house is close to the city center, approx five minutes walk from the Arctic Cultural Center. There are four bedrooms and all modern facilities including free internet connection. The house has a beautiful view of the harbour.
If offered a residency, Dansearena nord covers low fare travel costs within Norway and per diems (NOK 195 pr. person/day) during the stay for up to four persons. Costs for extra persons must be covered by the group.
The duration of the stay is normally about 20 days. If you require a longer stay, this must be argued for in the application. We ask all our artists in residence to open up for an audience viewing during their stay.
We accept dance- and movement projects within a wide scale. Laboratory projects as well as almost finished performances can be accepted. In your application it is important to write, how a residence with Dansearena nord will gain the artistic development of your project.

If you are planning to finish your work during the residence we might be able to offer you access to the blackbox in the Arctic Cultural Centre for the premiere.
Please notice that end April/beginning of May we are only accepting projects with children as the target audience. This is due to a children festival in Hammerfest May 9th 2015 where the artists in residence get a chance to perform for children in the age span between 0 – 14.
We aim to have artist in residence of diverse background and expression. During one year we strive to have the young, the established, the experimental and projects in all phases of production from the first try-outs to premiers. Our artist in residence program is a very popular one, and we receive approximately 150 applications per year from all over the world. Although we give Norwegian artists a priority, we do welcome international applicants and accept some every year.
