E’ possibile candidarsi fino all’11 novembre 2023 per la 28° edizione del International Solo-Dance-Theater Festival che si terrà a Stoccarda, in Germania, presso Stuttgarts TREFFPUNKT Rotebuehlplatz, dal 14 al 17 marzo 2024.
Le coreografie in concorso devono avere un linguaggio contemporaneo di movimento ed essere una performance originale con uno stile individuale. La giuria sceglierà 18 artisti che si sfideranno per aggiudicarsi tre premi nella categoria coreografia e tre premi nella categoria danza (interpretazione). Altri due premi saranno assegnati dal pubblico.

International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival Stuttgart, Germany
Il Festival Internazionale Solo-Dance-Theatre, sotto la direzione artistica di Marcelo Santos, è l’unico concorso in tutta Europa che offre ai giovani artisti l’opportunità di presentare le loro idee e capacità interpretative e coreografiche di fronte a un pubblico internazionale e competente. Il festival offre a molti giovani danzatori e coreografi un’ottima cornice per stabilire contatti importanti per la carriera artistica e per l’ingresso nel mondo della danza professionale.
In tre serate verranno presentate sei produzioni coreografiche, per lo più prime mondiali. La terza sera la giuria annuncerà le nomination per la finale.
La giuria assegnerà tre premi nella categoria coreografia e tre premi nella categoria danza, tutti compresi tra 3.500 e 1.500 euro. Altri due premi, entrambi del valore di 500 euro, saranno assegnati dal pubblico.
Procedura di candidatura
I fiduciari del festival sceglieranno 18 concorrenti tra le candidature online ricevute entro l’11 novembre 2023. Il festival si concentra sulla promozione di giovani artisti. A tal fine, i concorrenti devono avere meno di 30 anni. Le coreografie di danza solista presentate devono avere meno di un anno e una durata compresa tra i nove e i 12 minuti.
Il coreografo può interpretare il proprio pezzo.

Online applications for the 28th International Solo-Dance-Theater Festival Stuttgart
Online applications have already opened, and will remain open until the 11th of November 2023. Young artists can apply for the 28th International Solo-Dance-Theater Festival which is taking place at Stuttgarts TREFFPUNKT Rotebuehlplatz from 14th to 17th March 2024.
Competition pieces should be in a contemporary language of movement and an original performance with individual style. The jury will choose 18 artists, who will compete against each other for three prizes in the category choreography and three prizes in the category dance. Two further prizes will be awarded by the audience.

International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival Stuttgart, Germany
The International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival under the artistic direction of Marcelo Santos is the only competition throughout Europe that gives young artists the opportunity to present their dancing and choreographic ideas and abilities in front of an international, knowledgeable audience. The festival offers a good framework for establishing important contacts for an artistic career and into the professional dancing scene for many young dancers and choreographers.
On three evenings, six choreographic productions – mostly world premieres – will be presented. On the third evening, the jury will announce the nominations for the final.
The jury will award three prizes in the category choreography and three prizes in the category dance, all ranging between EUR 3,500 and EUR 1,500. Two further prizes both worth EUR 500 will be awarded by the audience.
Application process
The festival’s trustees will choose 18 competitors from among the online applications received by 11th November 2023. The festival focusses on the promotion of young artists. To this end, competitors should be under 30 years old. The choreographed solo dance pieces submitted should be under a year old and between nine and 12 minutes long.
The choreographer may interpret his or her own piece.
