Per la preparazione della nuova produzione dal titolo provvisorio AlieNation, all’interno della trilogia ZEIT/GEIST della coreografa Eva Baumann, si cercano danzatori versatili e performer (uomini, donne, tutti i generi) che prendano parte ad un processo di sviluppo iniziale di una settimana a Berlino presso il DOCK 11.
In ZEIT/GEIST, Eva Baumann e il suo team artistico affrontano i temi delle esperienze passate e presenti dei rifugiati, il silenzio/immobilità in una società frenetica e la distopia di una società disincarnata del futuro. La trilogia deve essere sviluppata in una produzione in ciascuno degli anni 2022-2024. Sebbene tematicamente distinti e suscettibili di avere un’estetica diversa nella loro realizzazione, tutti e tre i progetti hanno a che fare con la consapevolezza del tempo, della storia e di come lo affrontiamo.
Per il laboratorio di ricerca che si svolgerà dal 29 novembre al 12 dicembre 2021 (in totale una settimana) ci si concentrerà sul concetto di “alienazione”. Sarà un laboratorio basato sulla ricerca sul movimento che ha lo scopo di gettare le basi per una performance da produrre nel 2022.
Il laboratorio di ricerca è un’opportunità retribuita finanziata da npn/joint adventure nell’ambito del programma NEUSTART KULTUR Stepping Out. I ballerini che non hanno sede a Berlino possono candidarsi, tuttavia la compagnia ha un budget limitato per coprire le spese di viaggio. Purtroppo i costi di alloggio non possono essere coperti.
Invece di un’audizione, la selezione avverrà attraverso il materiale che verrà inviato dai candidati e attraverso due incontri Zoom il 30 o 31 ottobre e il 6 o 7 novembre 2021.
Il laboratorio di ricerca si svolgerà nell’ambito delle misure di sicurezza delle attuali linee guida COVID-19 e sono soggette a modifiche.
Si cercano ballerini/performer che siano curiosi ricercatori del movimento con una forte fisicità che siano abituati a lavorare con l’improvvisazione/composizione basata su task. La lingua di lavoro è l’inglese (possibilmente anche il tedesco).

- una breve dichiarazione del motivo per cui sei interessato o nominare progetti artistici precedenti con argomenti simili
- 2-3 link video di lavori recenti che ci danno un’idea della tua danza
- la tua disponibilità dal 29 novembre al 12 dicembre 2021 e per gli incontri ZOOM.

Eva Baumann Audition
For the preparation of the new work with the working title AlieNation within the trilogy ZEIT/GEIST by choreographer Eva Baumann we are looking for versatile dancers and performers of all genders to take part in an initial one week development process in Berlin at DOCK 11.
In ZEIT/GEIST, Eva Baumann and her artistic team are dealing with the themes of past and present refugee experiences, silence/stillness in a fast paced society and the dystopia of a disembodied society of the future. The trilogy is to be developed into a production in each of the years 2022-2024. Although thematically distinct and likely to have different aesthetics in their realisation, all three projects have to do with the awareness of time, history and how we deal with it.
For the research lab that will take place between November 29th and December 12th, 2021 (in total one week) we will focus on the concept of “alienation”. It will be a movement research based laboratory that is intended to set the ground for an evening length performance to be produced in 2022.
The research lab is a paid opportunity that is being funded by npn/joint adventure in the frame of the NEUSTART KULTUR program Stepping Out. Dancers that are not based in Berlin are welcome to apply however the company has a limited budget to cover travel expenses. Unfortunately accommodation costs cannot be covered.
Instead of an audition the selection will take place through the material you send and two Zoom meetings on October 30th or 31st and November 6th or 7th.
The research lab will take place within the safety measurements of the current COVID-19 guidelines and are subject of change.
How to apply / register:
We are looking for dancers/performers that are curious movement researchers with a strong physicality that are used to work with task based improvisation/composition. Working language is English (possibly also German).
