Singoli artisti, registi, gruppi e collettivi che non producono da più di tre anni sono invitati a candidarsi con loro attuali creazioni per il Festival OUTNOW! 2021.
Un progetto di cooperazione tra la Schwankhalle e il Theater Bremen da 21 al 24 maggio 2021 per il quale i due organismi ospiteranno nuovamente il Performing Arts Festival OUTNOW!
Fondato alla Künstlerhaus Schwankhalle a Brema nel 1994 il festival si è svolto in modalità biennale come cooperazione progettuale tra la Schwankhalle e il Theater Bremen a partire dal 2013.
OUTNOW! programma artisti, gruppi e collettivi di tutto Europa all’inizio della loro carriera professionale.
I contributi di altre discipline come l’arte multimediale, le arti visive e la musica (con riferimenti performativi o teatrali) sono benvenuti quanto le performance in spazi pubblici e i progetti in site specific. Sale teatrali al Theater Bremen e alla Schwankhalle sono disponibili. Se possibile verranno cercati spazi idonei per pezzi pensati oltre il palcoscenico e lo spazio pubblico. Non ci sono limitazioni relativamente alla durata delle produzioni e al numero dei partecipanti; anche i lavori brevi o con un cast cospicuo verranno presi in considerazione. Una giuria di rappresentanti delle organizzazioni selezionerà, dalle candidature, i lavori che verranno poi invitati al festival.
Come forum internazionale per i creativi teatrali OUTNOW! offre agli artisti scelti l’opportunità di essere presenti per l’intera durata del periodo. Molto importanti per il festival sono anche le discussioni informali interne e i tempi di incontro e scambio. OUTNOW! offre consulenza individuale sugli aspetti organizzativi ed estetici da parte di un team produttivo professionale e di drammaturghi. Inoltre un gruppo selezionato di bloggers accompagnerà il festival coi ‘report’.
Infine: la classe di Asli Serbest dall’Università delle Arti di Brema (Cattedra per gli Spazi Temporanei) disegnerà l’ambiente spaziale dei vari luoghi del festival.

Individual artists, directors, groups and collectives who have been producing their own works for not much longer than three years are invited to submit their latest productions for the OUTNOW! Festival 2021.
A cooperation project of the Schwankhalle and Theater Bremen From May 21 to 24, 2021, the Schwankhalle and Theater Bremen will again host the Performing Arts Festival OUTNOW! Founded at the Künstlerhaus Schwankhalle Bremen in 1994, the festival has taken place biannually as a cooperation project of the Schwankhalle and Theater Bremen since 2013. OUTNOW! showcases artists, groups, and collectives from all over Europe at the start of their professional careers.
Individual artists, directors, groups, and collectives who have not been producing their own works for much longer than three years are invited to submit their current productions to the OUTNOW! Festival 2021. Contributions from other disciplines such as media art, visual art, and music with performative or theatrical references are just as welcome as performances in public space and site-specific projects. Theater halls in Theater Bremen and the Schwankhalle are available. If possible, suitable spaces will be sought for pieces performed beyond the stage or in public space. There are no limitations regarding the length of the productions or the number of participants; short works and works with a large cast are also taken into consideration. A jury of representatives of the organizers will select the works invited to the festival from the submissions. As a forum for international, up-and-coming theater creatives, OUTNOW! offers the invited artists the opportunity to be present during the entire festival period. Internal discussion formats, time for encounters and exchange are very important to the Festival. OUTNOW! offers individual consultation on organizational and aesthetic issues, from application advice with a professional production office all the way to feedback walks with dramaturgs of the participating venues. Furthermore, a selected group of bloggers will accompany the festival with reports.
In addition, the class of Asli Serbest of the University for the Arts Bremen (Professorship for Temporary Spaces) will design the spatial surroundings of the venues.
