Die irritierte Stadt – Festival delle Arti è parte di TANZPAKT Stuttgart, nell’ambito di TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund.
Sviluppi progettuali da ottobre 2019 a luglio 2020.
Il Festival si tiene dal 20 al 26 luglio 2020 nell’intera area cittadina di Stoccarda.
Bando per proposte di progetti per artisti locali ed internazionali di danza, musica, performance e pratiche interdisciplinari.
L’Akademie Schloss Solitude, il Freie Tanz- und Theaterszene Stuttgart, il Musik der Jahrhunderte, il Produktionszentrum Tanz und Performance e il Theater Rampe si occupano di diversi punti focali nelle arti contemporanee. Ciò che hanno in comune è la pratica transdisciplinare. Nel luglio 2020 organizzeranno per la prima volta il Festival of the Arts, un festival curato collaborativamente e in cooperazione. Nei progetti partecipativi e in quelli in site-specific l’attenzione è rivolta allo scambio e alla cooperazione con persone che non sono naturalmente parte del discorso artistico. L’attenzione si concentrerà sullo scambio interdisciplinare e sulla domanda “come si pongono oggi gli artisti nel dibattito con la società civile?”. In questo modo verrà aperta una piattaforma funzionale al dialogo tra l’arte contemporanea e la società.
Questa prima edizione del festival si svolgerà come parte del TANZPAKT Stuttgart. Progetti basati sulla danza, sul corpo e sul movimento in spazi pubblici riceveranno speciale attenzione.
Il focus sul dibattito artistico sarà in particolare sullo spazio pubblico. Questo concetto si riferisce sia alle pubbliche piazze della società civile sia allo spazio pubblico digitale, che sta acquisendo sempre maggiore attenzione dovuta all’importanza crescente dei social media. Lo spazi pubblico – sia esso fisico o mediatico – è un’agorà in cui al giorno d’oggi il concetto di pubblico è dibattuto in modi estremamente controversi. Diversi gruppi sociali rivendicano la proprietà di questo spazio – e quindi rivendicano anche il dominio interpretativo della sfera pubblica.
Inoltre i curatori son mossi dalle seguenti domande:
– come può avere un forte slancio la collaborazione tra l’arte e la società civile
– come le prospettive artistiche possono influenzare e direttamente dare forma pensiero e azione nella società civile,
– come può la pratica artistica essere manifestata nello spazio pubblico
– e come gli obiettivi artistici possono essere espansi nel dialogo con la società civile.
DIE IRRITIERTE STADT invita a Stoccarda artisti locali ed internazionali e performer (singoli o in team) da tutti i generi – specialmente dalla danza –per impegnarsi con persone provenienti da un determinato luogo o da una determinata area della società civile di Stoccarda e pensare ad un progetto partecipativo per o in una delle aree suddette.
I cittadini di Stoccarda saranno invitati con un bando separato per partecipare a questi progetti artistici. Essi possono essere giovani o anziani, insegnanti o operai, persone al lavoro o nel tempo libero, persone interessate alle arti o avulse ad esse, gente incontrata per caso o con coscienza in un posto.
A settembre 2019 i curatori decideranno quali progetti verranno realizzati e connetteranno gli artisti/team artistici coi cittadini partecipanti. A partire da ottobre 2019 useranno questa connessione per sviluppare i propri progetti (ricerca, concezione, prove) in uno scambio attivo coi loro gruppi partner.
I risultati possono essere un breve e conciso statement oppure un evento in molti giorni. Può essere interpretato esclusivamente da non-professionisti oppure può coinvolgere anche professionisti e artisti. I progetti possono essere concepiti per certi posti specifici (edifici, paesaggi, siti) oppure per una location variabile.
Relativamente al tipo di progetto sia co-produzioni che produzioni autonome sono possibili. Sono possibili anche adattamenti di lavori esistenti per un contesto preciso di Stoccarda.
Lo scopo è di almeno una presentazione/performance pubblica nell’ambito di DIE IRRITERTE STADT – Festival of the Arts, che si svolgerà a Stoccarda dal 20 al 26 luglio 2020 in varie istituzioni culturali e in spazi pubblici.
Per candidarsi inviare entro il 31 agosto 2019 a irritiertestadt@mdjstuttgart.de i seguenti documenti:
- Dossier del proprio lavoro artistico oppure la descrizione della propria modalità operativa del proprio approccio estetico
- Lettera di motivazione per un progetto partecipativo all’interno del DIE IRRITIERTE STADT. E’ possibile formulare un’idea per una specifica area della società civile da cui il progetto verrà sviluppato insieme ai partners di Stoccarda oppure consegnare la descrizione del progetto e il piano finanziario di un lavoro già realizzato e prodotto ma che viene adattato per il contesto di Stoccarda in modo partecipativo o in site-specific.
La realizzazione dei progetti sottoposti verrà decisa da una commissione di fiducia degli organizzatori del festival.
Gli artisti i cui progetti saranno selezionati riceveranno un onorario e un budget di produzione. L’ammontare sarà dipendente dalle possibilità del festival e dai bisogni del progetto.

Festival from 20 to 26 July 2020 in the entire Stuttgart city area
Call for project proposals for international and local artists from dance, music, performance and transdisciplinary practice.
Akademie Schloss Solitude, Freie Tanz- und Theaterszene Stuttgart, Musik der Jahrhunderte, Produktionszentrum Tanz und Performance and Theater Rampe each set different focal points in the contemporary arts. What they have in common is transdisciplinary practice. In July 2020, they will for the first time organize a cooperatively curated Festival of the Arts. In participative and site-specific projects, the focus is on exchange and cooperation with people who are not naturally part of the art discourse. The focus will be on interdisciplinary exchange and the question which positions artists take in today’s debate with civil society. In this way, a platform for dialogue between contemporary art and society will be opened up.
The first festival takes place as part of the TANZPAKT Stuttgart. Projects based on dance, body and movement in public space will therefore receive special attention.
The focus of the artistic debate will be on public space in particular. This refers to both public places of civil society and the digital public space, which is gaining more and more attention due to the growing importance of social media. The public space – be it physical or medial – is an agora in which nowadays the public is debated in an extremely controversial way. Different social groups claim ownership of this space – and thus also claim to the interpretive dominance of the public sphere.
In addition, the curators are driven by the questions,
– how collaboration between art and civil society can have a strong momentum,
– how artistic perspectives can influence and directly shape thoughts and action in civil society,
– how artistic practice can be manifested in public space
– and how artistic scopes can be expanded in dialogue with civil society.
DIE IRRITIERTE STADT invites international and local artists and performers (alone or in teams) from all genres – especially including dance – to engage with people from either a certain place or a certain civil society area in Stuttgart and to design a participative project for or in one of the participating civil society areas.
Stuttgart’s citizens will be invited in a separate call to participate in these artistic projects. These can be young or old people, learners or workers, people at work or in their leisure time, people interested in the arts or still averted to art, people meeting by chance or consciously in one place.
In September 2019, the curators will decide on the projects to be realized and connect the artists/artistic teams with the participating citizens. Starting in October 2019, the artists will use this connection to develop their projects (research, conception, rehearsals) in active exchange with their civil partner groups.
The results can be a short, concise statement or an event lasting several days. It can be performed exclusively with non-professional performers or involve professional performers and artists. The projects can be designed for specific places (buildings, sites, landscapes) or for a variable performance location.
Depending on the kind of project, both co-productions or in-house productions are possible. Adaptation of existing works to a specific Stuttgart context is also welcome.
The aim is at least one public performance/presentation within the DIE IRRITERTE STADT. Festival of the Arts, which will take place from 20 to 26 July 2020 in various cultural institutions as well as in public space in Stuttgart.

It is possible toEITHER formulate an idea for a specific area of civil society, from which the project will be developed together with the civil partners in Stuttgart, OR to hand in a project description and financial plan of an already produced work that can be adapted to the Stuttgart context in a participative or site-specific way.

The realization of the submitted projects will be decided by a board of trustees of the festival organizers.
Artists* whose projects are selected will receive a fee and production budget. The amount will be depending on the possibilities of the festival and the needs of the project.
