Il Camargo Core Program è il programma storico e di punta della Fondazione Camargo. Ogni anno viene lanciato un bando internazionale attraverso il quale vengono selezionati 18 borsisti (9 artisti e 9 studiosi / pensatori). Il Camargo Core Program offre tempo e spazio in un ambiente contemplativo per pensare, creare e connettersi. Sostenendo la ricerca e la sperimentazione innovativa, contribuisce al lavoro visionario di artisti, studiosi e pensatori nelle arti e discipline umanistiche. Incoraggiando approcci multidisciplinari e interdisciplinari, intende favorire le connessioni tra ricerca e creazione.
STUDIOSI
Gli studiosi dovrebbero essere in relazione con le arti e le scienze umane lavorando sulle culture francesi e francofone, o sugli studi interculturali che coinvolgono le culture e le influenze della regione mediterranea. Per poter beneficiare di una borsa di studio nella categoria “Scholars”, i candidati devono aver ottenuto un dottorato di ricerca e una borsa di studio post-dottorato, oppure essere dottorandi che stanno completando le fasi finali di ricerca o di scrittura della loro tesi.
PENSATORI
I pensatori includono professionisti esperti professionisti e operatori nei campi culturali e creativi (come curatori, giornalisti, critici, urbanisti, studiosi indipendenti, ecc.) che sono professionalmente impegnati nel pensiero critico. Siamo interessati al lavoro in sintonia con l’arena teorica, delle arti e della società.
ARTISTI
Gli artisti, in tutte le discipline, dovrebbero essere i creatori primari di una nuova opera o progetto e dovrebbero aver già raggiunto un numero abbastanza considerevole di pubblicazioni e/o spettacoli e/o produzioni e/o mostre e/o crediti e/o premi e/o borse di studio. Siamo interessati ad artisti che abbiano già sviluppato e maturato il proprio stile/linguaggio artistico. Le candidature possono includere artisti che sono impegnati in progetti di riflessione critica ed orientati alla ricerca. I candidati possono scegliere tra le seguenti sottocategorie: Artisti visivi / Coreografi e Performers / Scrittori e sceneggiatori / registi di film e video / Artisti digitali / Compositori ed artisti del suono / Artisti multidisciplinari.
E’ disponibile un ammontare di 250 USD alla settimana, per le spese basilari di trasporto da e per Cassis. In caso di volo sarà coperta la classe economy.

Camargo Foundation. Core programme. Open call
The Camargo Core Program is the historical and flagship program of the Foundation. Each year an international call is launched through which 18 fellows (9 artists and 9 scholars/thinkers) are selected. The Camargo Core Program offers time and space in a contemplative environment to think, create, and connect. By supporting groundbreaking research and experimentation, it contributes to the visionary work of artists, scholars and thinkers in the Arts and Humanities. By encouraging multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, it intends to foster connections between research and creation.
SCHOLARS
Scholars should be connected to the Arts and Humanities working on French and Francophone cultures, or cross-cultural studies that engage the cultures and influences of the Mediterranean region. To be eligible for a fellowship in the “Scholars” category, applicants are expected either to hold a PhD and a record of post-doctoral scholarship, or to be PhD candidates completing the final stages of research for, or writing of, their dissertation.
THINKERS
Thinkers include accomplished professionals and practitioners in cultural and creative fields (such as curators, journalists, critics, urban planners, independent scholars, etc.) who are professionally engaged in critical thought. We are interested in work attuned to the theoretical “arena”, the arts, and society.
ARTISTS
Artists, in all disciplines, should be the primary creators of a new work/project and should have achieved a track record of publications/ performances/exhibitions, credits, awards and/or grants. We are interested in artists who have a fully developed, mature artistic voice. Applicants may include artists who are engaged in critical thought and research-oriented projects. When applying, artists will have to choose among the following subcategories: Visual Artists / Choreographers and Performance Artists / Writers and Playwrights / Film, Video and Digital Artists / Composers and Sound Artists / Multidisciplinary Artists.
A stipend of 250 USD per week is available, as is funding for basic transportation to and from Cassis for the Fellow for the residency. In the case of air travel, basic coach class booked far in advance is covered.
