Due volte all’anno, rispettivamente nei mesi di aprile e novembre, la Bibliothek Andreas Züst offre 3 borse di studio per residenze. La durata del soggiorno può variare da una a quattro settimane in base alle esigenze del borsista. Il bando per lo Studio Residency Stipend è aperto a lavoratori nazionali e internazionali (singoli o gruppi di massimo quattro persone) operanti in tutte le discipline culturali: arti visive, letteratura, nuovi media, musica, teatro, danza, design, architettura, film, fotografia e discipline legate all’arte.
Ai borsisti l’Alpenhof fornirà gli alloggi. I candidati devono presentare una dichiarazione che specifichi i loro specifici interessi e descriva il motivo della ricerca di una residenza. La Bibliothek Andreas Züst è particolarmente interessata a progetti che trattano la biblioteca nel suo complesso o uno dei suoi settori. Il programma Studio Residency Stipend deve essere considerato nella tradizione delle biblioteche come luoghi di conoscenza nel senso della diversità. In breve: la residenza dovrebbe comportare ricerche su ciò che costituisce il tessuto della nostra cultura e anche su ciò che va oltre.
L’Alpenhof è un luogo stimolante per un ritiro e per il lavoro, con opportunità di scambio e relax. Situato a 1.110 m. di altidutine ha la vista sulla valle del Reno e sul Lago di Costanza. Con le sue camere, le grandi sale, le terrazze e la sala della musica, è aperto agli ospiti di ogni parte del mondo. A seconda delle prenotazioni, l’Alpenhof può essere vivace o tranquillo. Per ogni borsista è disponibile una camera privata con una singola area per lavorare. Inoltre, è disponibile una sala studio/musica condivisa e diverse aree in tutta la struttura per poter lavorare in silenzio. Ulteriori servizi includono: cucina, salotti e soggiorni in comune e la Bibliothek Andreas Züst. Gli alloggi e l’uso dello studio sono gratuiti e le spese di viaggio sono coperte. Una richiesta separata può essere fatta per un sussidio supplementare relativo alle spese di soggiorno fino a CHF 250 alla settimana. Eventuali costi di produzione devono essere coperti privatamente.

Twice annually — respectively for the months of April and November — , the Bibliothek Andreas Züst offers three studio residency stipends. The length of the stay can vary from one to four weeks according to the needs of the stipendiaries. Application for the Studio Residency Stipend is open to national and international cultural workers (individuals or teams of up to a maximum of four persons) across disciplines — visual arts, literature, new media, music, theatre, dance, design, architecture, film, photography, and art-related disciplines.
For the stipendiaries, the Alpenhof panorama lodge will provide for accommodations. Applicants must submit a statement specifying their specific interests and describing their motivation in seeking a residency. The Bibliothek Andreas Züst is especially seeking projects that deal with the library as a whole or one of its sub-areas. The Studio Residency Stipend program is to be considered in the tradition of libraries as places of knowledge in the sense of diversity. In short: the residency should entail research about what constitutes the fabric of our culture and also what goes beyond it.
The Alpenhof is an inspiring location for a retreat and working, with opportunities for exchange and relaxation. Situated at 1,110 m.a.s.l. overlooking the Rhine Valley and Lake Constance, here landscape conjoins with lingering; the Alpstein mountains with a sea of fog; Eastern Switzerland with Übersee; traditional Alpaufzug (procession of cows on mountain paths) with astronomy. The Alpenhof itself, with its rooms, grand halls, terraces, and the music room, is open to guests from far and wide, as well as all kinds of encounters. Depending on the bookings, the Alpenhof can be either busily lively or peacefully quiet. For each recipient of a studio grant, there is a private bedroom available with an individual area for working. In addition, there is a shared studio-/music room available, as well as different areas throughout the Alpenhof for working quietly. Further facilities include: the shared kitchen, dining and living rooms, and the Bibliothek Andreas Züst. Accommodations and use of the studio are free-of-charge, and travel costs are also covered. A separate request can be made for an additional subsidy for living costs of up to CHF 250/week. Artistic production costs must be covered privately.
